just finished Missing Reporters - Slavers beware, and had to leave slaves in the wrecks or else get busted by customs. that's rough, though.

maybe ccp could put in some kind of "freeing the slaves" mechanic whereby you'd gain standing with minmatar and lose standing with amarr... Very Happy

Then they should offer another option as well (other than bringing then to the nearest station to auction off) would be to SPACE THEM and earn some Amarr faction for punishing the slaves for escaping.
Or if Amarr, returning them to their families and earn a reward in form of isk and faction with the coresponding faction?

I personally note for all slaves should be shoved through the outer airlock door into space. Trash all of them

Morally Wrong!

Sir I know EVE is supposed to be hardcore but this is sickening. Do you know what the ideals of this game are based on. CAPITALISM!

You sir are wasting potentional profits, Bloodraiders need Blood, Sansha needs slaves and Quafe needs Biomass. Think of how many hungry people those slaves after being reprocessed could feed and ask your self is there profit.

Sir and you are against the very spirt of this great EVE, your morality is in question. If not selling those slaves isn't a crime, it should be!

My former corp had slaves but wanted to free them, as the founder's Khanid father was once enslaved but escaped with help of a fellow captive who happened to be Minmatar.

I would contact a known Minmatar organization, and jettison the slaves to be picked up at a known rendezvous point.

Without an in-game mechanic, they either languish in a hangar (with the other types of captured/looted personnel), jettisoned into space, or something akin to the above solution.

It's a shame these people can't be deposited at a neutral site, to be able to lead full and productive lives rather than be pawns at the mercy of capsuleers.

Whaddya think CCP, how 'bout an amnesty day where the tourists, VIPs, janitors, exotic dancers, and all the rest get to get back with their families and put a stop to all the grief that ensues because of their limbo-like status?

But they have a new family! We cherish them in 0.0!

Agree with the OP. More options needed than just sell the slaves or drop them in a container in space...

Contraband items can be dropped off at a station located in same system where the items were found. If no station in system, then just leave them at site. Customs Agents are only at Jump Gates, not at stations. Then you can sell the items via the market, hopefully.

I Figured Out How To Free Slaves!

1. Role Alt
2. Have Alt come in Newb Ship
3. Warp Alt to Gate or Station
4. Law Enforcement Confiscates Slaves
5. Freedom!!!
6. ????
7. - Profit

Actually...

1. Role Alt
2. Have alt come in a newb ship
3. Warp Alt to Gate or Station
4. Law Enforcement Confiscates Slaves
5. Alt get fine big time by officials
6. Alt's balance drops below zero
7. Alt is unable to pay fine, so LEO (Law Enforcement Office) won't let him go.
8. Alt has to petition to be let go.
9. Petition is answered, Alt is freed (use the 'stuck' option)
10. Alt now has a negative isk balance and cannot buy or sell anything on the market or contracts (yes, that is right, you cannot SELL anything either).
11. Alt should have found some way to margin trade the slaves. ;)

CAPITALISM!

Morals and Capitalism seldom goes hand in hand. With the endless quest for profit often makes people make imoral choices and once you have taken the first step the next is so much easier.
But yes, more choices would enrich the galaxy, not just concerning slaves but on many other aspects as well.
Since we are freeing slaves, why not have the reserve and go on a slaving mission or use PI to produce slaves unless that is already covered through the Livestuck option. Even an escort mission would be nice though I think one of the lower level missions covers that.

Punishing slavers kind of goes against my Amarr upbringing since slaves are necessary to keep the wheels so society running. However former freed slavers are useless and counter-productive as they would continously long for this socalled "freedom" and not appreciate our care for them.

We are all slaves under God and the mmighty ISK

I would have no problem ferrying slaves to Amarrian systems, if it was necessary for balancing out the freeing of slaves

but I guess that right there is a pretty good PR reason why CCP probably won't touch this with a ten foot pole

Not really given how they openly allow and encourage deceit, scam, backstabbing, griefing and other forms of player exploitation.
They describe their world as cold, dark, harsh and cynical with slave labor, prostitution, drug abuse and so forth, so why add this feature as well? By selling slaves instead of trashing/deleting them you contribute to slave trade anyway. Adding missions wouldnt do anything really.

Who cares about the slaves. I'm just wondering how I can keep that Damsel from being in distress so much! And who keeps letting Krull update his clone???

The young women Krull have been using must provide him with enough ISK for him to keep an able amount of clones at hand.
Either that or a new "Krull" steps up with the old one dies.

The damsel isn't interested in Kruul, shes only using him to get to her one true love, Zor. Their story of doomed, star crossed lovers is the unwritten tragedy of New Eden, an epic tale of secret assignations, stolen glances, and unrequited yearning. Like Dynasty, Days of Our Lives and Romeo and Juliet rolled into one... with lasers and immortal clones.
