Alright I've had it now.
Why is the only person ever credited with a chron the one who writes it? Why do the guys/gals in the art department never get any credit?
What's the first thing you see when you click the link to a chron? Art! And god knows I haven't read every chron there is, but in the ones that I did read the art was always at least as good as the text that followed.
Props to the art team!

Sorry, but I gotta be negative.
The art greatly surpasses the text. The text was dull and boring, as it usually is. Y'know, I expect some excitement from a story involving a video game but it's always the same generic references to in-game things and some additional poorly thought out references to technology that is made in a desperate attempt to keep it 'sci-fi' - but it treats 'sci-fi' as a label, not an element.
All the plot devises are the same - it may as well be written in any setting at all. Sci-fi is interesting because it presents a unique outlook on things. It explains the remarkability of technology by challenging the reader's perspective regarding how a character's attitude is modified with the assistance of that technology - how technology influences a society, etc.
None of this is unvealed. I expect the chronicles to be the official canon - to unveal what exactly the game involves and what it's about. The girth of the actual story element of the game beyond the cheesey agent dialogue and the game play itself.
The text doesn't flow all that well. It isn't engaging. There's very little plot unvealed in sentences, even if their is a plot. This all combined probably explains why these stories are free for anyone to read and could invariably be fanfiction just as much as anything else.

I actually remember others making similar complaints regarding some of what I said already.
