This is an exploit. Wonder if CCP cares to comment on why it isn't treated as such, or make it near impossible to execute.

Mind you, we need to lose the ability to watch local as if it were the greatest scanner of all time too.

(Btw, I'm aware that there are probably other posts about this, but since there is no search function...)

stop blaming the search function. if its a whine about something its been done so dont post a new thread =P

as far as the log on tactic goes, i can see how this would be seen as an exploit. maybe we can get some suggestions on how to fix it?

Possible solutions :

Two minute timer on activating high slots after log in.

When you log in you come in at closest station to where you logged off.

Nice one genius.

So, you log off in deadspace, log back in the next evening, and warp straight to the station which is being attacked by an enemy fleet. You can't even use your guns for two minutes.

I don't think so...

u shoulndt log off in a deadspace ;D Okay u can have a CTD.
But anyway ... If u log in back u will not fly back to the same deadspace position as u log off.

Yep one of the possible solutions is u need to wait 2min or more to get your items back online.

how about just leave it alone? and, stop blaming local or "the biggest radar ever", too.

i got an idea to fix the pilots in local debate for good:

got clone? got local... period! don't wanna show up in local? go commando!

"wah! that way unskilled alts get advantage!" yeah. they can be an even sneakier unskilled alt. big whoop!

as for log off, not sure. maybe develop tactics to draw them out? i can think of a few of hand...
