Why has there not been more transparency from CCP regarding the last update(forced). I wouldn't mind that they dropped the ball and released some poor code, that did introduce some improvements but mainly broke a lot of things, if they could publicly take responsibility for the update.

What does rile me is the apparant disregard for the situation and the 'business as usual' appearance of everything. I think that a dev-blog covering the last patch would go a long way to resolving some of the frustration that many players have.

Mistakes happen and that is something that I can accept, but the mature approach is to learn from mistakes made. But what is unacceptable behaviour is when your mistakes affect others (which they invariably do) and your attitude is one of sweeping things under the rug and trying to push them from recent memory.

100k skillpoints were doled out recently to offset some extended downtime, but that downtime was no-where near as long as the 8hr blackout during 1.1. Does this mean that this patch is so bad that we don't deserve a reward for having to swallow it??Crying or Very sad

CCP I want to like you as the developer of my favourite game but you're making it such hard work!

tl:dr - Dev blog covering the whole recent patch incident, and a little something for the players to say sorry!

Optional patch applied on both clients, and on both clients I still have the following:

* Stacked chat windows resetting position on login.
* Windows not staying in the position they were moved to when closed.
* Windows bouncing around to other places on the screen when another window is closed.

What exactly is this optional patch meant to do again? Because it sure as hell doesn't appear to have fixed anything on my clients.

Advise please CCP.

There was a growing anger inside me, but then my hearth filled with sadness.

This is so sad, this is a whole new level of fail, I have no words to describe it.

List of Broken Things:
* Double entries in space overview.
* Stations and Space objects present in overview from systems long since left.
* PI, Import/Export Badly lagged. Plus some confirms missed out when resetting cycles.
* Longer space load time on session change times like :when jumping into hot mission rooms, low sec gates or undocking, Thereby putting pilot & ship at un-necessary risk while graphic loading. (CCP wont cover our losses as usual.)
* LP Store, unable to buy items 10s of thousands of LP less then you have even though you meet the requirements with both isk and LP.
* Stacked chat windows resetting position on login.
* Windows not staying in the position they were moved to when closed.
* Windows bouncing around to other places on the screen when another window is closed.
* Some windows disappearing altogether and needing a new session change to get them back, if lucky. Or a re-log if not!
* Random individual items on windows missing and requiring a session change or re-log for that skill/ item to reaper in that menu

Apologies if i missed something, with such a long list. I'm getting old prematurely playing this ;p

The problem with this window is that the column "required items" (things like tags, modules, ...) can sometimes appear, but most times it's either blank or the lines are scrambled without relation to the actual offer.

Guys,
slow down PLS.
Let CCP first do there Job.
Other Software Coder say, " this is the Patch, now live with that or di! " CCP brings fast updates for there unlucky Patches. That means, they work on the Problem.
Other Corp`s take your Money an go to the next Projekt or go to Haway drink Beer and f... the Girls on the Beech.
I think the coder where faster then the Information Crew. So lets wait for the optinal patch.

An optional patch will be deployed during downtime on Tuesday, October 5 which will fix several issues reported to us following the release of Tyrannis 1.1. While the patch is optional, we would encourage everyone to apply the update to ensure your gameplay is improved. The optional patch will be included in a future client update. A full list of updated patch notes can be found here.

The reason for deploying an optional patch is that these updates contain UI core fixes which are client-only changes in python. This process is much quicker to prepare, test and execute and allows us to prepare a patch much faster than usual. The EVE Online client remains usable whether an optional patch is applied or not.

Following downtime you will see a pop up box once the client is launched informing you that a patch is available and if you want to install. If you click 'Yes' then the patch will be applied and then you can log into Tranquility. If you choose 'No' you will log in to Tranquility directly but none of the fixes will be applied. If you clicked 'No' in error you can still apply the patch by going to the ESC menu, General Settings and apply the patch from the 'Install' button there.

Tuesday, October 5, 10:54 UTC - Patch notes are currently being added and will be available in approximately 10-15 minutes.

Tuesday, October 5, 11;47 UTC - One more quick update for everyone is that should you decide to not install this optional patch, and we highly recommend that you do install this one, the optional patch from Saturday, October 2 will be uninstalled automatically.

Tuesday, October 5, 12:03 UTC - Tranquility downtime will be extended to 12:10 UTC.

Tuesday, October 5, 12:08 UTC - Tranquility is open.

*sighs* Fine, I'll bite...

Why exactly are these patches optional and not mandatory as it is usually the case?

Could someone explain me what did this latest patch fix? I still have show info boxes always go to center of screen and the sound that should be heard when clicking on module is still absent.

Also, the drag and drop that uses the center of the modules as anchor instead of the left corner is nasty like crazy.

Why dont they just rollback to Tyrannis 1.0? And then test out things thouroughly before releasing the next patch. Tyrannis 1.1 introduced so many errors, we'll be awaiting fixes and patches for weeks, only to fix the errors introduced with the Tyrannis 1.1 patch.
