Windows still open in default places, pinning windows still results in un-stacking. Convo windows never stay were i put them. Exactly like i was yesterday.
I havent undocked so i expect that the only thing that works now is the correct colour stars for corpies. Though i wouldnt be surprised if that wasnt fixed either...
Not unplayable, but im not playing eve until you fix these pathetic tedious glitches.
EDIT - even the stacked unpinned windows still randomly select themselves putting the window you want behind some other window.
Clicking apply on the skill queue still switches to character sheet.
I can confim that corp stars are now the correct colour, which seems to be the ONLY fix i can easily see *slow clap* |

Originally by: WisdomPanda Yeah, cross platform has nothing to do with it. The fixes they've released for specific video cards are also no indication that different hardware can effect the game. Right on.
You'll also notice that the bugs that occurred came from an all-platform change, and affected all clients equally. So no, platform wasn't a factor. In fact, the platform-specific fixed worked perfectly. …oh, and, CCP only develops for one platform: Windows, which is then wrapped to go into OSX. The wrapping is largely handled elsewhere. Quote: The point being, Sisi is not TQ. Unless you're willing to fork out for a full scale test system, it will never be. You also would not be sued for setting up a hardware mirror, I apologise for not being specific. :)
The counter-point being: these were not TQ or Sisi issues — these were issues with the client that — suprise — existed in both places. |

After installing the patch my client closes frequently. It takes a couple of minutes if i am just idling, disconnects almost immediately if I try to make a petition. |

GG nice optional patch now when will you actually make a serious one? Oh btw having to click on a chat to be able to press enter after copy pasting something into it was so needless and stupid, good to see you fixed- oh wait, you didn't. |

I dident have supremely mutch bug's whit this patch ,
1 funny bug , 1 enoying , and a wild one
other than that , nothing mutch to worry about ,
the overwiew , got a little messed up hsowing every destination twise , but that was a easy fix , just , load , a stored set up and that was fixed ,
the annoying bug was on the local chat , it got pasterd all over hte screen , so when i wrote , words where all over hte place ,
the funny bug was simply a belt rat i couldent kill , a small frig ,stuck in space, whitci had lock on , kept pounding it whit 3k to 6k whit my tank tester , and rat never died , other then these 3 , i havent noticed anything else . |

Edited by: Philip Richardson on 02/10/2010 12:31:05 The bug I reported with the stacked journal/wallet/assets in the main 1.1 thread STILL happens.
Open any two of the three, close both at once, open the second one first, position forgotten, window in top left again.
edit: Open all three, close all at once then open the third one, position forgotten, window in top left again. |

This - further testing reveals, that it is the journal that is not remembering it's position. Glad to be a bug hunter |

Windows dont even retain their size in any way different than yesterday. Sometimes open ok, sometimes 20 pixels too wide. No change. |

Edited by: vekol on 02/10/2010 12:39:06 Stacked windows still switch like they want. If I have my Agents window and Peoples&Places stacked, accept new mission in Agent window it switsches to Peoples&Places. If I change it back to Agents window again and undock - I have Peoples&Places in front. If I have the stack collapsed and add a bookmark it shows up and gues which page? Peoples&Places! This works with the Journal page, too if missions are completed/turned in/asked/accepted. Thanks for this improvement/bullsh!t or whatever you call it ccp. |

Well hey! If they sometimes open ok, that would be a step forward for me — they always opened at some set minimum size yesterday. |

No change for me today. If you unpin your windows they will stack ok and even retain their position 60% of the time. But stacking presents its own issues. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHwn2NfzUkoGame needs taking offline and fixing IMHO |

User Interface * Windows will now retain their correct size when you open and close them. * Chat channels will no longer reset to the default positions every time the client is restarted. my windows still do whatever the hell they want, even with the optional patch. im beginning to dis-like eve for the silly crap and im not even over a year yet. |

Fail statement is fail. It's a client patch that fixes stuff CLIENT side. I try to explain that to you a bit simpler. I think CCP needs to adjust their bug priorities, perhaps? UI bugs are high-profile- they need fixing just as much as 'zoom issues' ...
"The backend of the EVE User Interface has been refactored to allow for faster development and ease of programming. Because of this some UI settings, such as stacked windows, may not be preserved after the patching process."
I realize now this means there will be UI issues, but if this kind of undertaking must be made to make the game's UI more efficient down the line, why not just wait until it's essentially ready before deployment? Make sure it is with rigorous testing, and if there are failures, back off and keep it off the live server until major testing can't find anything obvious.
One minor annoyance I have is how default and snap-to column widths are off, particularly in financial windows like the Market. Had to double-click on the right width-adjuster to see at least the full value of ISK on items, and even then it was cutting off part of the 'ISK' ... Also, my window for 'loot cans' and similar floating containers has reset, but this, at least, I expect based on the patch notes. Automatically-resizing column widths on appropriate windows working inadequately, and window snap-to indicators no longer existing for certain windows are not expected and rather annoying to deal with, and most certainly obvious enough.
To add to some of the commentary: at least CCP isn't Blizzard who charge for the service of using their servers AND every expansion. |

It doesn't matter the order you open them in, the final one you open resets to top left when you close.

If you think these client side patches are able to be implemented and accommodated while the server is running with no need to offline the server to allow modified clients, who am i to argue. |
