Thursday patch broke a lot of things for me, from sounds to chats, from windows stacking / resetting to overview symbols. From UI modules sounds to market edit boxes.

Today's patch fixed the following:

This is truth. I haven't seen any fix to the problems caused by the 1.1 "patch"

Good God. First it was the Epic Fail that was the 1.1 patch. A patch whose deficiencies would have been glaringly obvious with 5 whole minutes worth of testing. Now we have Failboat 2.0! THIS PATCH FIX FIXED NOTHING!!! NOTHING!! Not a single damn problem was fixed. I still have to chase all my UI windows around the screen and resize them everytime i open one, my sounds are still all screwy, every once in awhile my hidden modules pop up for no reason, and, (and this one is really, really difficult to take) the lag is WORSE than pre-1.1! Jumping through gates, leaving stations, etc....I have seen my characters freeze for 30 secs to a minute. Bah! If I had known CCP had the same level of concern for proper patching that Ubisoft did patching Silent Hunter IV, I wouldnt have paid for a year for my characters! And I'm pretty damn sure I wont get my money back. Thank you CCP, you just killed my interest in this game, I sure as hell won't be recommending EVE to any of my friends anymore.....Fix this crap, fix it now, or rollback to pre-1.1 PLEASE... Because your "patching of the patches" just isn't working Rolling Eyes

My corpmates sometimes show as + instead of * in chat. That's minor thing.
Major thing - I've lost 300 coolant and 1340 mechanical parts. Again. Sweet.
How can I earn for my ships now?

I would like to make a suggestion postpone all new content and fix all the broken stuff, we dont need new content and while your at it roll back PI because its terrible. This continuing to get new content while we suffer with broken game play, broken user interface, etc etc the list is very long, a year of bug fixes would make for some very happy players.

OK Folks, I only read page 1 of the comments.
BUT, there is a theme already I gotta reply too.

Rollback, Why not?

Simple, I know at least one player who was online that posted in wvw chat thet if the ydid a rollback he would Quit.
Why? He had made over 300 Million isk that day with a lucky set of drops from combat.
Would you want to roll that back? I think not.

And if it happened to one person, it happened to others as well.

Sure, the guys he popped would like it, but they should not have been where they would lose such stuff if not prepared to do so.
Remember, don't fly what you can't replace.

Oh, as for all the comments on FAIL in the patch, It works fine for me and most of my Corp and Alliance mates. No issues at all. Point is, no programmer can predict ALL the possible combinations of hardware out there. Code can do different things on some combo's of hardware, whether you like it or not Simply because most hardware has embedded code that interacts with what you programmed.
And lets face it folks, there is a LOT of code involved in EVE.
And Tens of thousands of players all over the world running god only knows how many different hardware sets. Like one early commenter said, Think you can do better? get going on your epic game coding. We will be waiting. I suspect we will have a very long wait.

Dude, seriously? Rollback would be for the software not for rat droppings or sov changes...

As for your review of the current situation, thanks, but if they managed to find the UI code to break it, they can sure find it to fix it again...

Even if there was a follback of in-game events, i would glady pay a measly 300million to make the game as playable as it was before 1.1.

People all round the world were running different hardware before the patch and the UI was working.

Oh and theres a lot of code in eve? lol ok, lets let them off the hook with this horrendous botched patch because after all they made this game by accident and cannot be blamed because they could not have even known that they would be dealing with lots of computer code... Poor CCP....

No post here has more fail than yours...

1.) People who will quit EVE if there's a rollback after they get a lucky drop need to HTFU.

2.) I think so. I would give far more than 300m ISK if it meant removing this terrible patch from TQ.

3.) Like the dude said above, it would be a software rollback, not a data rollback. Herp.

A lot of you have been *****ing..you know what? I have had minimal problems with the UI or new patch. I don't pin windows either. I like my windows to pop up randomly so I can put them where I want them. CCP has done a good job with Tyrannis so far. I like the optional patch. I had a little bit of problems that seemed server side, but they were fixed before I could put in a ticket. To all those saying Customer happiness and that these bugs should never happen I have to explain something to you. EVE Online is a pretty unique game, I have yet to see one that is just one server for everyone. Then you have clients for people who speak languages other than English. So CCP basically has to keep customers from ALL OVER THE WORLD happy. And as long as the majority is happy, that's all that matters.

For those having problems with connecting or hangups with EVE. I have a suggestion.

Download CCleaner and Defraggler they are free. If you don't know were to get it I will help you out a little. Go to http://www.google.com and search those names.

If you play a lot of games you should be using a similar two programs. I like these two because they don't stay on all the time. Run CCleaner once a week and Defraggler bi-monthly. But for right now run those two as soon as you install them. After CCleaner cleans out the Windows Cache Folders Then run Defraggler to defrag the computer. (You can use the one that comes with windows, but I am not happy with the defrag program that comes with windows.) See if that works. Remember if you all of a sudden have problems after a patch try doing some cleanup on your computer (You should do this at least once a week anyway.) Then see if that fixes it. If it does not submit a ticket, CCP devs will fix it as soon as they can.

I really wanted to report your post, but sadly there was no section for 'gross technical ignorance'. Hey, maybe you should reinstall Windows every month too? And do a little voodoo dance around your PC?

You guys are lucky. At least you can log in after doing the update and patch. I have two accounts that can't even log in now. They get stuck at 5/46 when loading bulk updates. I've unloaded and reinstalled, repaired, used the "Optional Patch", uninstalled yet again, cleared caches, checked drivers, installed again, yada yada yada. Nothing has worked to get Eve to play on my vista or Windows 7 machine now. Any suggestions that I might try to even get logged on?

BTW, I agree completely with threads in this forum calling for a rollback and serious time and effort spent fixing the existing problems before anything new is added. In addition, perhaps more resources should be continually devoted to this program than new ones such as Dust that they have the hots for and will not work well to begin with if this program isn't running correctly.

I think they like the idea of PLEX for downgrade so maybe this will be introduced when Remap for PLEX goes live.

This patch is failing hard. Whenever I open windows like cargo holds, ships or items windows, they still don't open at the location where I last closed them. I believe one of the purposes of this patch was to fix that and get it back to were it was before Tyrannis 1.1 but that didn't happen.

This patch is the same clusterf*ck as the 1.1 patch. First of all, your coders suck SO hard that you have to release a patch to fix what they ****ed up in the first place. AND THAT PATCH DOESN'T EVEN FIX WHAT THEY BROKE THE FIRST TIME AROUND. Windows STILL don't remember where they were pre-1.1. Opening wreck windows results in a mass of windows around the screen, instead of stacking into one area like I had them set to before. Your "fix" obviously doesn't work, so at this point would a rollback really wouldn't be that much of an issue considering this thread is (currently) 13 pages of people telling you IT DOESN'T WORK.

It's even glitchier than before the patch...frequently you see double overview itmes, or when in another system you still see systems/stations from a few jumps back...

I've found that clicking on the overview settings tab in the upper left corner and loading a overview profile even if the same one fixes this...but we shouldn't have to do that...

Really not a big deal but in pvp situations it could be bad....

Yeah sorry but i gotta jump on the bandwagon here, this patch really messed up my EVE, seemed just fine after the previous patch but this 'optional' as its called totally messed things up. I have read a few posts reguarding window location memory. THIS IS REALLY messed up, everytime i log back in everything resets to crazy places all over, and it will NOT remember tabbed window settings, so literally anything i keep tabbed together, especially chat, splits up and randomly gets sent wherever. This is also true for my Fleet window, and all of my Storage containers, especially the ship cargo window. Again, EVE plain outright refuses to remember window location now, it picks a default and forces it on me every login.
