I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 on an HP netbook dv2. It runs great until I go into PI, and then I get a crash on exit every time. I'm using an ATI card HD 3400. I realize there are known issues with ATI and Eve with Wine and they don't play nice together. Here is my error:

any suggestions?

This is a long shot as I have an nvidia card, but I had problems with rendering planetary effects. Might as well give it a shot to see if it helps. Link to the post: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1376672

No dice there. I'm getting the error when I exit from PI, I can interact just fine.

So I tried upgrading my ATI driver from their website and it borked my OS, reinstalled and am back to where I was before. Went in to regedit to make the changes suggested in that post and discovered I have no Direct3d folder in my Wine folder in the registry. So now i'm wondering, did I go wrong somewhere on the install? Any ideas?
