I really wish there was a way to form up roams with non corp members based on timezone. If multiplayer group warfare is the preferred method of playing an mmo then why is it so difficult to find others who want to roam?

I usually have to travel to lowsec to find other players who are willing to fight and are not scared of losing a ship. I have lost plenty of ships yet I'm still amazed that so few players actually engage in combat.

Eve is a pvp sci fi sandbox and I wish it had better mechanics to make finding the right fleet easier then what we have now.

Also currently you can filter pilots by standing, which I find kind of useless honestly. I wish you could filter by kills instead, standings does not tell you much about the pilots abilites in pvp.

Yes, Eve is a sandbox. People can (and will) do bad stuff to you. That's why the fleet finder is not like the "Looking for group channel" in WoW.

The mechanic to find like minded people to do roams with is called "joining a corporation" in Eve.

Have a look around here. Take your time, hang around in the official channel of some corps you consider joining. Don't be afraid to change a corp after a few days when it turns out that it is not to your likeing.

Edit: Sorry overread the "out of corp" bit. Still, it is rather dangerous to go on roams with strangers. So, yeah, corp/alliance, it is. Or get an Alt and join RvB for times when there are no corp roams.

Or get in contact with other like minded corps.

Ok number ONE, I have never played WOW and I never will.
I have been in contact with other corps, I'm not saying change the system at all.

When you play eve online you play with people all over the world, and that is awesome, when you join a corp the time zones for every player are different and that's cool too. I have no problem with that I just want to be able to QUICKLY filter people who are in the SAME time zone as I am in without having to ask each and every person in local or whatever.

It's a simple filter, show me all the players currently in pacific time zone. Is that so difficult?

find a corp active your time zone? I live in Japan so I tend to join up with Aussie/NZ corps cause kind of pointless to join US tz corps. Would never see anybody in great numbers.

If lone wolfing it, cruise corp/alliance kb's. See whose on when you are on to find someone to blow up. battleclinic nice for this. Can see hot spots with times of death. Might have to move your operating base close to there...welcome to pvp. Flexibility goes along way.

Change your playing time. Aussie/Asia tz gets some dead spots at night our TZ. those are ratting times. Wake up early Saturday and sunday morning my time (work during the week :( ) ....its US prime time and pvp chances more likely.

Also you said low sec....not a hot bed of activity in some spots. try going to more active spots. Do some research, most alliances I have been in use the same hi/low sec interfaces for their jf's and such or routes too and from null sec. Also many squatters seem to have lots of fun living basinng out of npc 0.0 and hitting targets in the neighboring alliance held spaces. Can blow up other neuts as well...more targets for you lol. can lone wolf this or hook up with these crews. Tbh...they do look tempting. No pos bashing unless baiting a trap, no real need for cta's...all the fun of 0.0 none of the headaches.
