Hello,
I want to make better textures for some of the older ships in the game. I can't seem to be able to open .stuff files, lol. I guess EVE is protecting itself from resource stealing...
I've done some very good re-texturing for other games (Zelda), and would love to enhance some of the graphics for EVE.
Anyone know of a way to do this? |

You wouldn't be able to start the client then, because the .stuffs would give a different CRC checksum. |

It's also protecting me from being a costless employee for CCP.
*sigh*
If I change my textures, it won't affect anyone else unless they download the pack I made and replace it themselves.
Good point about the checksum, though.

Everyone wants pink Megathrons to easily spot the primary targets...
But yeah like the others say, CCP do not want you to modify things, nor the EULA and as such there's some checks in place.
But as for the .stuff's, there are tools to extract models and such from them. |

I doubt it checks  other then that do a search for triexporter, it will open .stuff files for you |
