I recently installed ubuntu 10.04 with wine 1.3.1 installing winetricks corefonts vcrun2005sp1 vcrun2008, renamed the jukebox folder, and installed ubuntu restricted extras. I find that i can either have sound going to eve or sound going to mumble version1.2.2-4 for linux.

Ive played with pulse audio, esound, and no combination of anything seems to get to both to run concurrently with sound.

Does anyone has any suggestion on a way to have sound on both?

Use Alsa out for Wine, same for mumble. There may be an option in mumble not to get exclusive lock on your sound device (I'm assuming you are using same sound device for EVE and Mumble)

It may also work better if Mumble is started first. Wine alsa support is meh.

if i configure winecfg with alsa instead of oss, then the sound in eve cuts off after several minutes for no apparent reason...

but setting both wincfg and mumble to alsa allows for simultaneous sound.
thanks for 1 solution, but now another problem.
