As for not having patience, I worked through an entire week of doing very little within your corporation before I realized it was time to quit

^^^ There is your problem^^^ you sat there for more then a week and did nothing ugh

Now since you insist on continuing to post here with fail attempts to sabotage our recruitment thread, I will let you (and everyone else who reads this) in on a little corporate secret.

PWNED Factor is ONLY interested in people who want to enhance their game play and work as a team. We intentionally give people the freedom to rise to the top and get involved, while others, like you Caspardian, idol in channel, complain and sink to the bottom of the heap. This is part of our "weeding" process after your initial recruitment and every one of our core members has went through it.

. . .

Allow Me To Remind You Of PWNED Factor's Rule 1
Everyone Agreed To This Before They Entered...

Rule 1.) PWNED Factor is a "Pact" between its instructors and it's corp mates. Our job (my job) is to share information, pass on knowledge and answer any questions that you may have. It IS NOT to motivate you to undock your ship and get you to actually play the game. If you are the kind of player who logs on and says "Is anything going on I'm bored?" you don't belong here. I will tell you that flat out. Start a gang, make some ISK or go steal candy from a baby somewhere. There is always something to do when you are logged in.

So you see, we are out to raise legitmate PVP'ers not just want-to-be's who need their hands held daily...

About the same time that you decided to leave, we appointed 4 New Corp Directors (2 for PWNED Factor and 2 For PWNED Factor Elite] and SEVEN new instructors. Also known as the people who did not Idol in channel and expect everyone else to make the "Game Fun For Them" while they sat there and did absolutely nothing.

You sir fell out the bottom, and obviously our recruitment theory is working as intended because right now you are displaying your true nature and frankly I don't have time for it. So now move along....

Re-read what I said, so that I don't have to post a circular argument. I was certainly NOT idle. That's not how I do things.

EDIT:: Actually, don't bother re-reading what I said. I wouldn't bother replying; I tried to offer some constructive criticism, and let you know I did did have a problem with your corp. You treated it as though you and your corporation are infallible, and so it MUST be my fault.

If you want to proverbially stick your fingers in your ears, yell "lalala," and pretend that I'm just lazy, go ahead. It's not my problem.
I don't stand to gain anything by arguing with you.

Have a good day.

You were Idle enough so that no one in corp seems to know who you are. You are also the only one with this problem. Now, be off with you.

I have to admit, I am genuinely shocked at the obvious sabotage attempt at our recruitment thread from Caspardian. For the record my friend, I joined PWNED from the very beginning and I honestly dont ever remember seeing you online.

You tried our corp, It didnt work for you and for that I am sorry. However it HAS worked for dozens of people. Your constructive feedback is welcome - however, if you had any decency, this would have been done via an evemail. Delibrately setting yourself upon our public recruitment forum has not only made you look like a little emo child [no offense to the real emos - the used rock \0/] - but it is extremely immoral and offensive to all the people who have worked hard to get PWNED to where it is at the moment.

I hope to God that you now have the decency to leave us in peace and refrain from trolling our recruitment thread. You are no longer part of PWNED FACTOR, we are no longer part of you. Good Luck Caspardian in your eve career. I hope you find a home that suits your needs.

I speak for myself on my own experiences but myself even though my playtime is limited has taught me a lot in this corp about PVP aspects and has put a whole new light in game for me, lots more about aggression, ship fits that actually work not something you "think" Works, great FC's and a very friendly environment, I'm always involved in corp activities as much as possible or time permits without my own issues getting in the way but each time I do get online and can join a roam i'm having fun! Even test server PVP'ing has been pretty exciting and great training to turn me into my own animal. Thanks guys!

I'm not here to disrespect you personally but consider these points:

1) I can identify with some of the things you said, just not to the extreme and I responded differently -- proactively -- Perhaps why I was promoted to PWNED ELITE.

As a mature female player with a lower and/or differently skilled toon (comparatively) than the bulk of the group I have felt a bit isolated at times. So what did I do?

Not in order of importance:

a) Worked on skills, isk-generation, getting to know others and offering to participate regardless of how many times people failed to jump up and down from the offer.

b) Yeah, unanswered questions can be frustrating but how many could have been answered at a better time or place, found via your own initiative and how many were germane to the current focus. Were you questions on how to FC when we had a suddenly hostile system to worry about (just an example).

I even took an outside noob PVP class and do massive amounts of PVP-related reading to improve myself. This due to my insatiable appetite to learn, and accelerate the process, one which is not practical to cover in a short amount of time. Avid reader or not, learning PVP takes time.

c) I reminded my self that people are busy in RL and with EVE as well as with their own PVP-related needs too. My schedule doesn't always fit with the ops and that's not anyone's fault and if those that are longer-term friend, corpmates want to hang on their own sometimes, that's not unreasonable. I would be worried if it was.

d) I recognize that a corp is not created in my image and that not everyone is not going to be buddy buddy -- that is not an excuse for drama or disrespect though. Otherwise, time (to get to know people) and action tends to improve those incompatibilities greatly.

If not, then people change corps, happens daily without incident.

e) I was on nearly all the time until recently (believe we got along in quite limited contact) and I don't remember you asking me once to do anything, either.

Other than that, you're just hurting yourself to post here as you have been. I respected what you had to say in the context of an opinion, but personal differences are never a valid reason to trash a corp and this is the wrong place for personal rants.

It increasingly sounds like you just want attention, are quite unhappy with EVE and need a scapegoat because it's hard to fit in somewhere. If this is untrue, then show it...PWNED wasn't for you, move on.

i just joined PWNED FACTOR today ive been in the channel public that is for about 2 days i added the entire corp both actuly to friends list at diffrent blue standings so i could see how active it was. and from my experiance its been great. i got on sisi the test server and i spent i dunno probly like 2 hrs learning pvp and figureing out what ship/role suited me. before PWNED FACTOR i would try a ship spend millions of isk to just lose it and haveta go buy another while banging head on wall woundering what i did wrong while i grind out the isk again. finaly i relize its not just me its the ships i try and fly and the fact i wasent skilled enough for them. however i do have great skills in another skip and i should be flying it. i learned some diffrent pvp tactics today about my new pvp ship and others out there and the capabilitys. its a great corp and im happy to be here. i cant wait to figure out questions and ask alot. i cant wait to go on roams setup by me or others to learn pvp in small gnags or even go out solo and try what i learned.

so far ive had a blast yes its only been 2 days and a few hrs now sinces i been in corp. but im also on 12-18hrs a day with no life so that 2 days is more like a week or more the people are active and very very helpfull.

thank you for leting me join i hope to learn alot new and good things and i hope to help those who are newer then me so they can learn from my experaince and mistakes :)Very Happy

I've tried all three of those steps that you mentioned, with:
1. Results not dissimilar to my first attempts to x up
2. Fleets never on fleet finder
3. Checking TS3, (which usually had no more than 6 people on it), when I talked, there was no response--I checked the volume (both TS3's and my own computer), and checked that my mike wasn't muted, but there was no reason I could see for the thing to not work.
Saying things like, "what's up everyone," or "how is everything," elicited no response.

As for not having patience, I worked through an entire week of doing very little within your corporation before I realized it was time to quit. I pay for this game; I expect to have fun playing it.Rolling Eyes

Dear Caspardian.

I was considering something like RVB to break into PVP but I am interested in something more organized.

My question is just how much experience do your instructors have?

I've looked at your killboard on BC and well your top pilots aren't even ranked (top 10k on battleclinic where progress starts getting tracked).

I thought maybe that was just because you kept your instructors and better pilots in elite but other than Asheera none of those pilots are ranked either.

I mean I'd like to learn PVP but it seems like I'd want to learn from someone who's demonstrated some level of success.

So what exactly do you offer that I couldn't get in another place in EVE?

First off, the only thing that I am interested in is a person’s Kill to Death ratio, also known as how well a person does when they are actually logged on and fighting. Over all stats and ranking are meaningless, those people you see at the very top of battle clinic have acquired those stats through 0.0’s “Blob Effect”

Take Me For Example:

1.) I like to fly logistics and support
2.) I Have never blobbed with this character
3.) I spend ample amounts of time in game training nooblets
4.) I have a real life outside of EVE

Thus my KB stats will not blow anyone’s socks off.

The only thing you can get here that you won’t get anywhere else is 1v1 attention, actual training and access to a vast Ship fitting library that covers all races. We take carebears and noobs with negative killboard stats and we turn them into Respectable PVP’ers

Respectable is the keyword here. We make no claims that we turn them into OMGWTFBBQ higher Tier PWN machines that blow up Battleclinic with statistical awesomeness.

The reason why you don't see our best pilots on Battleclinic, is because our best pilots are all newcomers to PVP. They have learned enough in only a month or two to have a Positive Kill to Death Ratio while roaming low sec almost daily.

I hope I have answered your question to your satisfaction Cool

Hey Troy, I invite you to simply join the channel and see how things go down.
As EP stated, the focus of PWNED is training the inexperienced.

And at that, we are quite good if I may say so.
People feel comfortable, get 1v1 and fleet training and for as far as I can tell they're enjoying themselves massively in the process.
Reread the majority of posts in this thread from people that joined and you should get a general impression of the level of satisfaction we can provide.

Small comment I have to make btw: don't try and base someone's effectiveness on blunt KB stats - especially not Battleclinic haha.

Thing also is, like EP stated, 6 months in null and someone can have a 1000 kills, simply because he or she was part of a monster blob vs monster blob campaign and managed to tag 30% of the targets with his t1 railgun, and as such has a 'kill' added to his/her stats without actually having to have contributed much to the fight to begin with.
Stats do not always reflect actual built up experience or player quality.

If the level of accurate knowledge and experience is a possible concern for you let me guarantee you:
The trainers know their stuff and have experience.
They take their time to tutor you and have the patience to deal with questions, desires and whatnot.

Again, I kindly invite you to just give us a visit in the public channel and maybe you'd even be interested in either participating in a roam or SiSi training.

You're more than welcome.

Allow me to post a bit more.

PWNED FACTOR is a training corp.
Ex-carebears or players with a genuine interest in PvP are what we are looking for.

We provide training in the following fields:

+ Creating a fundamental understanding in the proper use of both ships and modules.
+ Building up YOUR knowledge on how to fit ships properly, how to pilot them well and how to fulfill specific roles when working in small to medium sized gangs.
+ Logistics practice, scouting practice, straightforward DPSing and EWAR practice and anything else pvp related you have interest in.

These training classes will take place primarily on the test server in one on one situations as well as in fleets.

Some things to realise when you decide to join:

+ Own initiative carries you a long way in PWNED factor. Bring your willingness and eagerness to the playfield and you'll be ready for Tranq PvP in a matter of days.

+ No question is a stupid question. it's better to keep asking and clarify things for yourself further than to remain silent and stall your own progress.

+ Your suggestions and input are always welcome. Even though our trainers have considerable experience they still learn new things even from the new folk.

+ Don't hesitate to ask for specific training, be it for a certain shiptype, tactical approach or fleet role. That's what we're here for.

+ If you so desire you WILL get plenty of opportunity to apply your new found knowledge on tranquility.

Do keep in mind, we are busy from the moment we log on.
If we by accident miss a question you ask in the public channel, do NOT hesitate to throw a trainer a convo.

That all being said, if you have a desire to learn, you need to look no further.

PWNED factor simply is THE place to start your PvP lifestyle.

I started in this corp almost 1,5 month ago. Since then Eternum Praetorian learned me PVP and that got me on some Killboards. Finally :)
But I also got the chance to make a real contribution to this great corporation. It's success can be measured by the number of people that has joined and stayed since the beginning. We are corp now with a high number of very active players in Europe and the United States.

Apply and find out yourself. Success guaranteed!

Look for me or any of the other recruiters in the in game PWNEDZONE channel

I have only been here a couple of weeks and I have to say this is a great corp. My work schedule has kept me busy in RL and not ingame much, but when I am ingame I have not had an issue finding something to do.

Great bunch of pilots here that take the time to answer questions no matter how many times its been asked nor how many times they've answered it. Ive been in PVP corp before and NEVER had the experience Im getting from PWND FACTOR!

I highly reccommend PWND to anyone looking for a good corp w/ a GREAT bunch of pilots who know there stuff.

Looking forward to my future here...

This Is What We Did On Sunday

I must say that atm PWNED Factor is exceeding my wildest expectations. My aim was only to breed Fleet Commanders that could call basic targets and PVP'ers that could follow basic fleet commands...

What I got are FC's that can stand toe to toe with some of the best that I have seen in almost 4 years of playing EVE Online and PVP'ers that are so blood thirsty you could not possibly guess that they were carebears prior to entering this corporation. Shocked

It turns out that a little bit of 1v1 attention and practice can do allot more then people think for the average player.
