Not exactly a new player question, but I feel like a noob CEO for not knowing the answer so I hope that counts! Very Happy

Applied to join an alliance through the corporation window's Rankings page and right-clicking Apply To Join.

The My Applications on the Alliance tab shows Status of Accepted, and a downtime has passed, and the corp is still not in the alliance.

Is there something else the CEO has to do?

Thanks!

no alliance in game is going to blindly accept applications from corps to their alliance.. you normaly need to contact that alliance's diplomat and begin talks to find out if they are even recruiting , or that your corp has what they are looking for.

Nope. Wait exactly 24 hours and the status will change to "Effective", and you will be in the alliance.

Just make sure the Corporation you decide to join and the alliance they are part of are completely transparent about how they fund their operations and how they provide resources to you "the pilot". If they start talking about you paying rent, run away fast.... otherwise you will become just one more rent paying serf in their feudalistic pilot farm. Remember... they have the moons to mine... they have control of complexes... and they probably have the BPOs passed down to them from years of past pilots who left Eve... they should be paying you to fly for them and provide free or discounted ships and ammunition... Why not? After all, their leadership is likely playing Eve for free from plexes paid for with Corporation/Alliance assets. If they say otherwise, they are just blowing capitalist cigar smoke up your rear jets. Very Happy

Correct - this one is a 24 hour period, not a downtime. The reason is based on war declarations. If you join an alliance with an active war-dec, then they are entitled to 24 hours notice of the impending war (as any wars will be passed on to the Alliance). If you don't have a war-dec, then, well I guess CCP just made one rule for all, rather than one rule if you have a war-dec, and one if you don't.
