Hi, I'm interested in getting everyone's opinion as to which clan/race they'll be playing, if they're included, as well as which race/clan they think will be the most popular and, alternatively, least popular.
I'll go first, I'll be playing a malkavian female (vampire) and I think gangrels/ventrues (vampires) will be the most popular clan. I think the werewolf population will be quite low at the start (if they're even included in the initial release) since you presumably can't customize werewolves as much, at least not when they are in wolf form, and who is into that biker/punk subculture anyway these days?

It mostly depend in what version of the WoD we will end playing. The old WoD: Tremere or Bruja for vampires Children of Gaia for Werewolf The new? maybe a Deva for vampires iron mask (or whatever they are called) for werewolf but I don't like much the setting. Note that the last official words words on WoD are: "it don't exist" (2010/3/14) Quote:
In addition to details of the upcoming Tyrannis and Incarna expansions, Torfi gave further information on how CCP's other interests are doing. The World of Darkness MMO currently doesn't exist but CCP has a lot of people working on their mysterious "Project X". WoD is based on the new versions. No Malkavians or Euthanatos :(
In fact, the new versions have been made specifically so an MMO could be based on them - Though i can't remember where i read that. |

Tremere was always my favorite race in vampire: the masquerade, using blood purge combined with an Spas 15 auto-shotgun was always very satisfying. |

Honestly I am a fan of werewolves so my tendency is to play them or one of the two vampire clans that go most often against the grain of vampire society. Actually the Assamites are the assassin clan that usually accept vampire blood as payment. This is due to one of the curses they suffer which makes them crave the blood of other vampires. They not only feed off of lesser Vampires; they are the only clan that outwardly practices diablerie to gain the powers of vampires of older generations that they defeat. This is considered sacrilige by most vampires and if you are known to have committed diablerie then you are marked by the other clans. Slade |

All I hope for this game at the moment is that CCP and White Wolf make it so monumentally, remorselesly dark and unforgiving that any Twilight and True Blood fans who stumble into it will be emotionally scarred forever and run screaming from their PCs before the tutorial has ended. It would be a crying shame to see such a well developed world diluted by people wanting to know when they'll get their 'sparkly in sunlight' special skill  |

There are Gangrels in the new WoD. And one of the "great" powers of animalism is that you don't get a Fight or Flee reflex when meeting another vampire but a Fight or Fight reflex, even if the other vampire is way older and more powerful than you. In the immortal words of a fiend: "That is a power? I thought it was the Gangrel weakness." |
