You must create the thread with the character you are selling
Here it is.

You must state that you will pay the transfer fee
I will.

You must disclose whether or not the character being sold has a negative balance in its wallet and the amount.
I have a positive balance.

You must post in the thread with the character that will be receiving the isk.
I'll post on... Haunting Widow I guess.

You must reflect the character correctly in the thread, posting that the character you're selling has more skillpoints or ISK than it actually has is a bannable offence.

You need to be in an NPC corp before you do the transfer
Stasis has begun, will finish after 22:00 tomorrow. And I will initiate the transfer then.

  • The character being sold must receive the ISK for the purchase.

  • this.

And you should prolly provide a link to your skillsheet, as well as an asking price or starting bid

Yeah but I've already linked that to my buyer (not up for sale anymore, just trying to follow the sale rules), and we've talked and planned this over the past few hours and have a decided price which I will receive just prior to starting the transfer...

This is my first time selling a character, are these things that are required? Because if not I'd just as well not post skills that won't belong to me in a day or two.

EDIT: and ok, I guess I'll take the isk on this character, it's just that the guide that is posted on the forums http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=552381
    says

"You must post in the thread with the character that will be receiving the isk."

Which seems redundant if you need to MAKE the thread with the character being sold..? So I figured he was allowed to send the isk to a character on the same account, if necessary sure, he can send the isk to pheonix summers.

I am a little confused about the rules about this.

In an effort to reduce the amount of character scams, GM workload and player frustration, the following changes are being made to the announcements concerning character sales or auctions for ISK. No other form of payment is sanctioned or supported. *updated

The 'For Sale/Auction' post must be made by the character being offered. This is being added to prevent scams for characters that have been misrepresented, banned, non-existent, etc.

You must disclose whether or not the character being sold has a negative balance in its wallet and the amount.

The character being sold must receive the ISK for the purchase.

The sell post must reflect the character correctly, posting that the character you're selling has more skillpoints or ISK than it actually has is a bannable offence.

The character being sold must be stripped of ingame assets of any significant value before being transferred. Items cannot be listed among the character's valuable assets, only skills, implants and reputation. You are buying/selling the character ONLY and nothing else. Ships and items can be readily bought on the market for ISK.

You may only bump threads ONCE Per day. Date is determined by the date on the forum, not the date where you live. See this guide for more information on bumping.

The new owner of the character may NOT pass himself off as the original owner.

The character for sale must be from an active account, you cannot trade characters from inactive accounts.

The character being sold must be in an NPC corporation.

The character being sold must be older than 14 days old to avoid accidental transfers.

The selling of accounts is prohibited, characters may only be sold individually.

The owner of the character being sold is responsible for the character transfer fee paid to CCP.

Prior to leaving a corporation, the character to be sold MUST send a corp-wide EVE mail stating that they are going to be sold and will be leaving for an NPC corporation.

When a character is sold, please modify the topic title to reflect this to help other forum patrons know what characters are still available.

Lottery style sales are not permitted. Auctions and buyouts are the appropriate method for selling a character.

All scams involving character transfers are prohibited.

Whenever a character is transferred before the seller has moved the ISK received from the sale to another one of their characters, the Customer Support team will return that ISK to the rightful owner. The buyer cannot expect to receive both the character and the ISK that they paid to purchase it.

These changes are effective immediately. Posts made after this announcement will be edited with a link to this thread or deleted without notification.

Please post below with any rule change, new rule submission or resource you feel useful for fellow players or something you want to bring to our attention.

Agreements on the forums or in game, or winning an auction does not guarantee a character will be transferred to you. The seller may choose to renege on a deal at any time, prior to the transaction being completed
