I finally can use T2-Med-Rails and the corresponding T2-Ammo. I tried Javelin and my speed dropped from aprox. 415m/s to somthing around 140m/s. As far as I can see it, the 14% speed penalty is applied 7 times (I have 7 turrets on my ship).

Is this meant to be a feature to make a sitting duck out of the ships or am I missing the big advantage of T2-Ammo? Especially in Missions, where MWDs are rather useless, this is more than a nuisance.

Gallante use Hybrids, what do you expect? You thought you would equip tech 2 ammo and actually be better off? CCP doesn't see it that way.

Hybrids have problems on their own and T2 ammo overall suck for all weapons except for a few cases.

So, to answer your question: yes, it's indeed a "feature" (although the term "it's by design" it's more appropriate).
Also, don't use them. They have shorter range, a tracking penalty and give a pathetic improvement in damage over faction antimatter (literally 1 or 2 dps in almost any configuration, even on bigger ships). Use faction antimatter... They cost more but you can actually HIT things with it... About double Javelin's range, same damage and no tracking penalty. Also, it doesn't slow you down.

Yeah, yeah...
Confirming that you should never use null in your blaster ships...
ACs rock with Barrage, and pulses pwn with scorch, but blasters cannot live with the exact same penalties as the other weapon platforms...no...

Also do not listen to AC using fighters about those TEs...no use for them in combination with blaster boats either - just like null. It's all mag-stabs or nothing...and FN/CN AM or nothing.

null works goon on a blaster rokh, but i your pretty much right for mid sized guns
