I once had two Budgies, they died on Bonfire night when some little **** lit a big banger off in my back garden; The resulting kaboom was loud enough to give both birds a one way ticket to bird heaven god bless'em.

Oh dear. Sad

Last budgie that went stiff on me was ill for a few weeks, but Flash was quite a surprise. Just yesterday he was enjoying his millet, chirping to his friend and just being a budgie as usual.

Currently his remains are in my fridge... In a foil tray. Didn't have time to plant him this morning Crying or Very sad

Are you sure?

Trolling aside, condolences on your loss. Hope the other two cope with the loss.

I had a budgue when I was young, one morning I came downstairs to feed him and found him hanging upside down from his mirror by one of his toes.

Always sucks to lose a pet, even if you rationally know they have short lives. As for the "no reasons" bit, though... What'd you expect the little guy to do, leave you a note?

I think he meant that the budgie in question was seemingly in perfect health.

Yeah. He was fine the day previous, he wasn't off his food, was doing his usual stuff, all normal. We always had pets growing up, which I think is a good thing for any child btw, just gives you a taste of that side of life.

Most frustrating thing is not knowing why, and having no warning. Ah well, it goes with the territory. He was cool, he did stunts and stuff. I found this two year old picture of him. He is the one on the right.
