DURIPANT
So I've lived here since I started. It was from where I spawned.

Duripant is a 1.0 system with a single station Federal Navy Academy School VII - M6.

Duripant has a nice looking star a Red Giant. TEMP : 3946 K AGE : 5,507,000,000 Years RADIUS : 215,500 km

The school lies in the shadow of planet VII. But the school itself is still lit as if it was being affected by the sunlight normally. It is

Solutions
1 - Apply a special shadow to the school so it doesn't look as bright. (Ships would look funny if they didn't have the same thing?"
2 - Move the school so it's out of the shadow like it would sometimes be if the celestial objects were orbiting
3 - Because the school lies right next to a moon which has a lit crescent (should also be eclipsed but..) Aim the direction of the light from the crescent moon rather than the star.
4 - Let planets orbit the stars
5 - Celestial object shadows
Bonus : apply the correct color to the light in a solar system that matches the color of th star.

I like number 3.

I'm sure the technology for this control is limited.

You live here long enough it starts bugging you.

Celestial objects can't throw shadows in the current engine, which is the cause of this odd phenomenon.
