If a corp was setup to provide the tactics required for finding, invading and cleansing wormholes in a corps space, would your corp use it?

This would be a freelance corp that would basically be set blue while it showed you the light and then would be set neutral again and would leave after it was done.

Thousands of wormholes are open at any one time in Eve and a good portion of those are now occupied, some by passive indy corps and some with aggressive pvp corps.

The knowledge supplied would include.

Arrow Wormhole Aggression/Timer Mechanics and using them against the enemy

Arrow Wormhole mass mechanics and how to close them safely

Arrow General scanning tips and advice

Arrow The easy way to navigate wormholes (leading to safer routes to empire for logistics in a fraction of the time)

Arrow Much, Much more.

This is not just aimed at large sov holding mega corps but small empire corps too, WH's spawn anywhere and over the last few hours I have infiltrated over 10 occupied and active WH's from high sec.

This is just a post to gain interest but a corp will be setup for this in the next 24 hours and empire operations have already begun.

I believe this would be something that either works or doesn't.
And which one is probably dependent mostly on your reputation and/or prior friendship with possible clients.

Regarding 0.0 'big' entities, I hardly believe you will have any luck there.
These are littered with all sorts of people from carebears to done-it-all veterans that would more likely
already have the knowledge required or would want to aquire it themselves (hey, it's a sim game, what's the fun in being told what to do if you can learn from trial and error).
So asides from obvious (newby) carebear corps in empire or wannabe 0.0 entities I doubt you'll have much luck.

I wish you all the best however and please keep us posted as to your results.

Why don't you make that a paid class like agony does? You write material, have a lecture one day and the next you bring all students to a c6 and clean it all? And you would even get the isk from the c6.

Info on agony so you have an idea:

I will be heading up this new venture, and most people who are important in wormhole space will either know me or have knowledge of me (some outside too).

This will be mostly a PvP venture aiming it more towards medium to large empire or low based corps with members who want to PvP but cannot due to the constraints of empire/low life (overabundance of low sec pirate ganks and difficulty to move small gangs from high -> null without instant death from above). We will not only be catering for single corps but should they be ok with it a collection of corps who just want to find some fun shooting other people (or getting shot up by other people) in wormholes.

There will be no fee for this service as I quite enjoy doing it and thrive on fresh inexperienced (in wormholes) players with which I can ply my craft. there will be no living from POS's or mandatory ops. You will be able to stay in your corp and when I am online jump into the action with me when I find a hole. During this time i will pass on all the wisdom I have learned over the past 16 months living in them.

the corp will be up at around nine tonight so feel free to come look me up, a public channel will be up as soon as the corp is. Watch this space :D

EDIT : Black Viper Nomads (VIP3R) is still 100% up and running under a good friends management so wormhole dwellers should not feel any safer knowing that I have moved on YARRRR!!

So, my brain is like a rock, would need some things clarified.

1)so, are you a merc wh corp?

2)Are you a teaching corp?

3)If someone wants a wh system that is occupied, instead of tearing it down yourselves, you're saying you'll "attach" yourselves to the corp that wants it by makeing yourselves blue then both corps go in and clean the WH?

4)???????

5)Is there profit?

Wish you best of luck Ace. And of course I will be following this with great interest.

W-space is truly magnificent. All the different things you can do with it! I have like a list of 10 ideas for corporations all exploiting it in a different way, and still this particular angle is not something I have thought of.

And about that guide. You can't compare reading a guide (especially that one) with actually doing under the lead of someone experienced. If you believe that you are still in the "don't know that you don't know" phase :)

Ha....love peeps who think that guide is the be all and end all, you have to ask yourself though where arcdragon got all his info from.
Anyway, I fully endorse this product. The man knows his business, ask anyone in that business and they will tell you likewise.
Ace loves WH virgins, if you are one and need the help I recommend you give him a try. Just ask him to be gentle with you!

Im pretty sure, hold on let me go read it again, something you should have done before posting, ohhh yeah, It definatly says its a free service Very Happy

If you want to read a guide and try to do it that way then have fun, what I offer is doing it practice not in theory. Having fun learning the mechanics and not spending hours thumbing through a guide, and we where doing this long before that guide even existed.

1)No profit so not really mercs

2)Yes

3)We will give the corp the knowledge needed to do it safer than going in blind which will also include a highly experienced WH recon expert and some muscle if required.

Dont forget people. This is all from the guy who shared the spawns and triggers( against his own best interest) in all of the sleeper sites back in the day when WH were all new and he was CEO of AHARM which was then the biggest and most profitable WH corp in game. So if u think u cant trust him I would reconsider.
99% of WH dwellers will know ace reputation personally or by word of mouth.
Some people still opperate on a 'my word is my bond' and not the 'whats in it for me' type of attitude.

I hope this new venture works out ace m8 and I fully endorse this product.

Contrary to what someone has said above, obviously CNR's are completely pointless for anything other than running missions or shooting un-defended POS's and especially bad at fighting on wormholes. Battlecruisers and cloaky ships is the name of the game. To be honest a couple of battlecruisers and a cloaky spotter is enough for 80% of what you find in wormholes. Its the other 15%* though that bring the most fun.

50 million of Cane or Harbinger will do in most cases so no need to break the bank and no, we dont turn on our own allies even if your only in for one WH assault.

* The other 5% is when you find AHARM or CCRES and they just steamroll your ass with 20+ T3's

Ace is quite a colourfull character, and a lot can be said about him. But he is a man of his word, and WH PvP is his game.

I hope Ace's pupils will enjoy flying with him and learn as much as I did back in the days.

Although we apparently haven't met since February, corp to corp, and that was a rather limited gathering to boot, I'll gladly don my steamroller hat on behalf of CCRES Very Happy. Wear it with a tilt even, to signify a jolly, relaxed mood. ugh

However, from browsing AHARM kb it seems they didn't use that many T3's when you last met, in J152433. Wink

Jovial rib-poking aside,

Good luck to you Ace in this new venture. Haven't run into you in a long while, that I'm aware of anyway, but it'd be nice to see a familiar face from the early days. Keep 'em safe now....unless it's more fun not to Smile

Also thanks to Qui Shon for another ambiguously worded reply which seems to have your heart in the right place, however I was not just refering to my own meetings with your corp, as your killboard is public its easy to see the other WH corps you have lain waste too Very Happy

Best of luck Ace, i have not much more to add, other than whats been added so far.

Ace knows Wh's, and Wh's know Ace - if your into shooting other people and their belongings, but you find ganking people at stations in hi sec a little borring - try WH's. If you dont know Wh's, use Ace.

Personally, i have not, and would not, have any issues trusting him.

I thought we just established that the audience consists of people too "special" to read existing tutorials and forum posts with actual content regarding wormholes, but ok. Most of the relevant mechanics are well-understood, well-documented, and have been for 2 expansions now.

I honestly don't give a hoot about wormholes, so perhaps you can excuse me not close-reading the thread and assuming the consultancy required compensation. I would be surprised that with all of the available information there are many people who still need to be lead on a leash, regardless of whether or not he's charging. If I was thinking of working in w-space I wouldn't be searching for someone to lead me by the nose, I'd be reading (and did read when I gave it a thought months ago) to figure out how to do so self-sufficiently. In short, to respond to the question posed in the topic: no, I personally wouldn't.

More power to him/them if anyone takes him up on it, though, and I don't really mean to thread crap being that he's not charging so I'll leave it at that.

edit: cleaned up quote, clarified
