Well, and the fact that you seriously don't think that people might notice a ship type specialised for smuggling?
If smuggling is a covert operation, then having a ship bonused for it is about as clever as walking round with a giant flag on your ship saying 'ILLEGAL GOODS HERE, ONLY 1/2 PRICE!"

My ship of choice? I'm going to have a few people wanting to shoot me here but here goes...
Lamprey (thorax cruiser)
- In an odd twist of fate, Gallante found a precursor of this ship (a modification of their OWN thorax) floating among the Sansha fleets and captured it, making this a ship whose designs have passed from a thief's hands back to the parent empire.
- After much research where various power systems were upgraded to empire specifications and all drone control systems removed to make room, this throax now boasts an impressive and malicious array of support systens specifically for the nosferatu line of turrets.
- When asked why such a ship was designed, the response from an anonymous source cited, "Those Sansha fanatics bled us for so long, it is high time that they understood what it meant to be bled dry in return."
Role bonus: Nosferatu limit against draining below current cap level is removed, afterburner speed improved by 50%.
Gallante Cruiser Skill Bonus: +20% to medium nosferatu effectiveness
At 5 med's II and cruiser of 5 (+100%), the victim will lose 360 en/sec. Effective? Debatable... but it'll be a fun ship to fly.

I really want to be able to fly a rogue drone modified Domi. I would want it to be capable of fitting drone control units and have the 5% hybrid turret damage bonus replaced with a projectile turret bonus. An extra high-slot or two would be nice.

I love to fly ECM. It's my favorite. I like the Kitsune but it is a bit... Lacking. That is why, for my personal awesome ship, I would have The Kitsune on Crack:

T3 gallente subsystems with bonuses to SDs and points.
But if we are leaving the realm of Eve, I would allow any T3 ship to be able to fit any T3 subsystem of any of the other races so long as the pilot has the skill for it. That would be way cool! Ships might look kind of funny/interesting too with mixed race subcomponents added :).
