Ok, this time I've got 8 days of skill training in my queue, I hope this should be enough for the small patch.

Removing learning skills without proper notification would be a huge mistake. Just imagine: the skill queues of all characters, who were training these skills by that moment, would stop. Awesome present. So, if learning skills are going to be removed one day, there should be a notification in advance, also with in-game pop-up window. Or, as alternative, players should be able to do it manually. Well, there are many ways how it can be done, but you can't just do it as "learning skills have been removed, SP pool added" way.

Relax, not gonna happen. I'm amazed that most people don't seem to understand that this patch exists almost exclusively to hand out some extra SP to compensate for lost playing time last week. Everything else in the patch consists of whatever odds and ends they had ready to throw in. Ain't no big thang.

I will be moar amazed at people who don't set a skill to train for at least 24 hours during downtime tomorrow. It's scheduled to last 4.5 hours Laughing and anyone who isn't prepared for at least a 16-hour downtime isn't paying attention.

Maybe the next patch will give use back level 5 missions in high security.

SP bonus should be applied to the actively training account. Case of beer and a date with my sister if you change it.

I am glad the updated patch notes do refer to fixing the standings problem in epic arcs. My suggestion would be to go ahead and tell players previously affected by this problem what to do after the patch. Do we file petitions for every character who got kicked out of an epic arc, or can we start the epic arc over without waiting 3 months?

They are gone this is CCP nudging you to carve out a low/null sec home. Recruit some combat pilots to your corp and have fun. Low sec isn't that bad you just have to learn the lay of the land there are lots of quiet low sec systems that you can work in in relative peace.

I should not have to as this is a sandbox and I should be able to do it my way. Why would I risk a ship doing a mission in low sec so other can fly in and have the added benefit of the mission damage on me and corp members. Same reason I stopped going to wormholes for sleepers. Its suicide if u ask me Im not willing to take the risk.

Is this post serious? You want high reward content to be in high security space? That is a completely game breaking way of developing EVE. EVE is (in theory) built around the concept of more risk correlating to more reward. It always has been.

Ok I was able to do lvl 5 mission in high sec then CCP gets a bug up there [email protected] and remove that. And I can tell you have never tried an lvl 5 mission. For your more risk more reword and in high sec the biggest ship you can use is a marauder not like using a carrier in low sec. So the risk is high YARRRR!!

This was a bug to begin with.. and they have now fixed it. We were never supposed to be able to do level fives in high sec.

Not sure if it was a bug sounds more like an excuse to remove it. I find that CCP tends to listen to the minority that like to cry about high sec.

Cry me a river buttercup and HTFU. L5s were never ment to be in Highsec, and they just got around to fixing it. Do them or not your choice.

Will there be any issues with applying the SP gift to the currently training skill, as opposed to to a skill that is not currently training? Using the 100k number solely as an example, what happens if we apply 100k points to a Rank 1 skill that has 1414 points in it? What happens if we apply the points to a rank 1 skill that has 240k points in it?

When a player changes the shader setting to low, it will no longer encounter flickering and transparency issues on models.
This will be fixed in a future expansion

Just so you know, this bug happens with *all* shader settings, no just low. The only bit that helps a little is to turn off sun occlusion. All other graphics settings don't help.

You will be able to distribute the SP any way you want.. to one skill, to multiple skills, in any amount. Not to worry.

Shouldn't the SP only go to chars whose skills expired during the extended DT - that is, the ones that actually lost some SP?? If everyone gets them, then those players are still behind, relatively speaking.

In this case it would be also unfair. Those who missed 10 minutes would get a relatively huge advantage over those who were smart enough to have long skill queue. So there are only 2 acceptable ways of giving the bonus:
1. Same to all (just a gift to calm the masses).
2. Individual compensations based on actual time lost, attributes, implants and so on. This would be the most fair way, but would be much harder to do.

I would prefer the second option, but well, as the proverb says, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth". This gift wasn't a must.

Anybody who were around when level 5 missions were introduced (and payed a bit of attention) would know that they were supposed to be for low sec only.

The funny thing is that this "gift" will now actually put me behind everyone else as they'll get a 100k skill point boost and mine will go to waste on an alt character that isn't being trained and won't benefit from any additional skills. I know there are others in this situation as well.

Seems like a kick in the teeth, but whatever. **** happens ugh

I don't think the SP is just to make up for the missed training. I figure its also to make up for the missed oppurtunity to actually play the game as well. So if they only gave it to players with short training queues, it wouldn't be 'fair' on players who were trying to play. I was actually at home through that downtime, usually I'd be at work, and was looking to play. So while I didn't miss out on SPs, I did miss out on oppurtunity to make ISK or standing. I'll accept the SP to make up for that, because it would be a nightmare to work out everyone's individual losses.

Whatever solution they came up with, it'd be extremely hard to please everyone. If you get more SPs then you lost in the downtime, you're still getting an advantage. Does it really matter how it compares to everyone elses advantage?

This. The last point really needs fixing - you can set your tower to keep corpies out but not alliance members out (well atleast the checkboxes work for corp access; haven't actually gone as far as clicking ok).
