I personally find nothing more satisfying than applying me or my devs to fixing long standing issues. It really feels like development is kinda standing still compared to developing swish features. But it's like removing a bit of gristle thats been in your tooth for a day, or a thorn thats been in your toe for a week. Satisfying. I think my customers feel the same way, more so because they cant do it themselves.

Anyway, point of interest, the issue you described is wider reaching. Its wired to warp-in mechanics. Anything that requires a given range to use can be affected (Gates, cans, carriers, new PI spaceports etc.) Warpin to 0 never lands you perfectly, but up to <2500m around your spot, usually a little closer with stations because of their size and docking radius affecting things. I think it was intentionally variable to make stop you landing perfectly on the same spot. It is complicated by approach velocity. I find pods when warping to 0 on a gate tend to land at 2550 and loose intertia and not drift in range, unless i "approach". There has always been a drive to widen your exposure outside of warp from the beginning. If you remember the days before "Warp to 0" then you will understand the origin with this.

It seems the issues are a semi defiance of that ancient change, or related.

Its a big affecting "bug" or "feature" :) And bloody annoying. CCP could do with either increasing the accuracy of landings, or widening the range of the target objects (station, can, etc) so there is a comfy 100-500m margin putting you where you need to be.

What's bug annoys you the most and how long has it been in game without any addressing from the dev team?

For me, it's the dock bug. Where you warp to a station and hit dock a bazzillion times and nothing happens until the bazzillionyfirst time you hit the button. This never happened before trinity and then something broke, which they won't even acknowledge is broken, much less fix it.

Hmm. I haven't had a crash (not counting socket closed stuff) since Empyrean Age, crashed twice from release until the first patch. Prior to that, I had a stretch where there were a lot of crashes, but it turned out to be my video card (hint hint).

socket closed happens all the time, but sometime eve will crash to fial to handling a socket close error properly. so then a socket lcsoe error is masked as a general "crash".

so really, everyone experiences the same thing pretty much all the time.

EVE has crashed on me once over years of play, and it was a hardware issue. Am I really just that special?
