So this fix will bring the top PVE content back to lowsec so the PVP guys can get their carebear kicks? Shocked

I thought running missions was boring as hell so why are all the "HTFU, you carebear; learn to PVP" people happy about this?

Highsec dwellers lost something, lowsec dwellers always got the most L5 missions anyway - classic nerf.

Although I'm not opposed to boosting them more, the rewards in low sec are fine atm. The problem is that the level of rewards available in high sec is/was too high. I think we are actually approaching balance finally.

I'm Valrandir and this change is Most Excellent™.

I used to run level 5 in lowsec with two marauders and a vulture.
They were faster then level 4 due to not having small ships to destroy, and the reward were awesome with 72k LP per mission.
Getting ganked was not an issue.

Down with the ignorant whining carebears !!!
yeah !

Yet another stupid decision by CCP. Lvl 5's need pimped PVE ships, and they already aren't as profitable as lvl 4's (I can run way more lvl 4's in the same amount of time). So much for the risk/reward ratio. You don't dare take those Billion isk ships into low sec, so someone and a buddy with cheap ships that will be covered by insurance if they lose them ganking you.
Put lvl 5's in high sec. Then it will give those who like pve something new to keep paying 14.95/mo.
What's with CCP's agenda to push everyone to low sec? 90% of the paying customers don't want to go there. People vote with thier feet, and their feet say stay in Empire.

HAHAHA, you bunch of bloody whingers! How about all of you little 12 year olds go back to playing WoW and leave the real games to the adults.

I'm pretty sure a company as big as CCP would not waste countless man hours on programming a fix for this bug/exploit if they felt that it would be detrimental to their finances and also to the wider Eve community.

Some of you are thinking too much like children, you all expect to be spoon fed everything and never want to actually work to achieve something. Grow-up, grow a brain and get on with the game!

For those who say getting ganked is not an issue, then I say if I get ganked then you replace my ship when it happens. Well, any takers, I think not, so stop with the gank not being an issue, it is! Besides, I trained to lvl 5 across the board for a tengu and for what? I can do lvl 4's in a cerb, so why did I waste my time and isk to train a ship I no longer will have use for. No one uses a Tengu in low sec or 00, thier too expensive, its an empire ship with no use now. CCP, better start listening to your CUSTOMERS.... and where did the term carebare come from? I'm a mission runner.... and once again, if you don't run missions, then you have no reason to post here.....Rise up mission runners and take to the universe, .05 and above of course...

Wait, you are saying that L5 missions no longer occur in High Sec? Someone needs to tell your L1 storyline agents they need to comply with the patch. Just a few days ago a Gallente L1 storyline agent sent me on a mission and when the first room had battleships, I thought something wasn't right so I went and grabbed my CNR.

Thinking I was just handed a harder than normal L1 storyline that I hadn't run into before, I didn't stop to give the CNR the proper fit I would normally use (I had my lows filled with cargohold expanders to assist with moving ammo), and I hadn't reloaded drones I had mistakenly left in the last L4 mission I used the ship on. I just wanted it to tank while my alt cleared the mission.

The first room was cleared as planned but the 2nd room had a domination battleship + another 6+ battleship that all agro'ed onto my CNR and it was quickly scrambled. Because of the poor modules and no drones, I was looking at CNR wreckage pretty quickly.

Researching the name of the mission (which currently escapes me), I come to find out this is a L5 storyline that apparently is now given out by high sec storyline agents in error (and low level storyline agent at that, as mine was only L1). A petition and a few days later I get my CNR reimbursed, as apparently I'm not the first person to lose their ship in high sec to this mission.

Well here are my 2 cents as a lvl 5 mission runner. Understand the logic but this doesn't work. You want us to mission in low sec? Give rats sleeper A.I. and make them omni dmg so the mission runner have A chance

well, what little was doing the lvl 5's, has probably gone even smaller. I cant see pirates killing any lvl 5 runners, there wont be any lvl runners left doing them to shoot Laughing

but on the other side of the coin, if a pirate has a bountie on his head & he's flyign around in empire, saying WANTED, then, im sorry, i should be able to shoot his ass without Concord intervention.

so to sum it up:
I should expect to get shot doing a lvl 5 mission, attempting to jump into the low sec system or actually in the mission from time to time.

WANTED pilots should expect to get shot from time to time, flying around in empire, thats the price u pay for being naughty Cool

I haven't ran any level 5 missions yet, this doesn't affect me yet. I have always assumed that higher level missions meant greater risk and needing more pilots. But have been ganked AND podded in low sec by a pirate who apparently preys on new players. It was bad enough losing my ship and expensive cargo, but there really was NO need to kill me -- take my ship but not my life.

Since low sec pirates are a known problem, and they prefer to attack solo players, I'd suggest that players that need to go there fleet up and start giving the pirates a greater challenge -- and hopefully kill a few pirates in the meantime. Huge fleet battles between alliances are common -- but I want to see some massive witch hunts. So all the "Carebears" should grab their pitchforks and torches, join a mob, and hunt those bastards down!

I believe this "fix" should be scrapped immediately. I have been running level 5's for some time now and it is the principle way for which my corporation makes its money. The only way we can effectively do this effectively is because we use really expensive ships that we can't risk in low-sec and therefore we only take the missions that occur in high sec. It is the main source of income for my corporation and this fix represents a huge danger to us.

Haha nerf those mission runners!! When you accept a mission it should just blow your ship up.
You are stupid for spending all that time repeating the same boring missions over and over to make isk. 0.0 is full of macro ratting bots that make way more isk with zero risk and all while the owner is snoring in bed.
I've heard of one alliance fc that has no fewer than 7 macro ratting characters.
CCP had to send mission runners to lowsec, because the pirates are bored and the mission running bears are the only people actually at their keyboards in this game.

I like polarizing the game, lets cut out that evil lowsec portion though let caps run up to .4. For that matter let them run caps right up to 1.0 and have concord visit them at .5 and up. Additionally we could let the factions show no bandit mercy. Shoot on sight low faction pilots and bar from docking in stations an yes that would include stations farther down. After all there is more risk in lowsec and better rewards not counting murdering citizens of the empire. No reason as a murderous pirate you should expect the safety of an empires station build your own private pirate stations or work up your pirate faction to use theirs. There being a problem with being a murderous evil pirate type you know. Now the carebears get stuck in highsec with low risk reward but those who want to play in the deep end get stuck there as well. lol I hate to see the pirates dogging carebears but who want to maintain all of their valuable bpo's safely in highsec and use the production facilities there.

Suitably pot stiring?

Well lets be honest its not so much the pvp's that draw the ire of other gamers pvp is fun. Its the pirate gate camp 8-12 guys who dogpile ships in 2's and 3's who book for the hills when an even or slightly larger group come through. I ran into a group the other day who aren't even camping the gate they keep a cloaked t3 to snare and keep their fleet elsewhere in system and only jump in when they outnumber 2-3 to 1. This is possible mostly because the jumpgates restrict where you can enter lowsec creating choke points. If you want to move more folks into lowsec or 0.0 remove the choke points.

Whiners: Another thing, YOU doing lvl 5's in high sec does NOT increase people in low-sec, in fact it LOWERS it.

Yes this change will have a negligible effect on low-sec population, but finally we low-sec citizens are no longer sent to high sec and get the reward for fighting over these areas. If you do not want to do so then clearly you should not have the rewards.

How about leaving it as is, ie you have to go to lowsec to get the agents, but simply make the rewards depend on where the mission is given. If it is in lowsec: high lp/bonus, if in highsec: reduce then lp/bonus, dynamically.

IMHO this whole thing is a clue that operation agent orange really need promotion to a full scale operation to revamp the entire agent/mission/PVE system.

Low-sec is more dangarous and way less profitable then alot of 0.0 .. just find a crappy dead-end system.. cloak up awhile if there are hostiles..

mission runners already work way to hard for their isk, good point there dewd.

This has to be the most ******ed move CCP has done yet. Its already difficult enough to do the missions, with them taking close to an hour. Now you want to make it so players will get ganked while doing the mission.

You are going to make level 5 missions obsolete and a thing of the past. A proper move would be to move more of the missions to high sec.

hahahah love this.

i run level 4's in 0.0 and there is 0% risk. Use your brain, eve rewards those with intuition.

Mission Runners dont..too hard to make isk unless you grind for hours and hours, way easier to make isk in good 0.0 as it should be, but enough is enough.

Not everyone are farmers or play the game your way.

Personally I only run missions for faction ammo and implants for myself but this is not gonna get more ppl out of high-sec.

All this fix does is ensure that CCP makes one more function of the game non usable. NO ONE runs lvl 5 missions in low sec or null sec because you typically need to have a faction fitted BS to do them. Pirates and hard core pvpers know this and prey on lvl 5 low sec mission runners. Ensuring that ALL lvl 5 missions happen in low sec just means NO ONE will be running them.

CCP should just get rid of lvl 5 missions since very few if anyone will be doing them now.

Why a pirate that is hated by empire gets missions from the empire factions baffles me. The hardest and the ones that requires most trust(standings) at that too. To be logical, remove lvl5s from non-carebears (from lowsec).

Dear Crybabies,

I am a carebear, I do not mind the change. Yes, I will miss my occasional Highsec Lvl 5 mission for that last boost of LP for my navy whatever. I will also miss using a highsec lvl 5 mission for testing my tank (gameplay information is far superior to EFT in my opinion). If you're a miner and you want the good rocks, you have to go to low/nullsec. If you're an explorer and you want the good complexes, you have to go out to low/nullsec. If you like big ships and want to fly the really big ones you (gasp) have to go to low/nullsec.

Even a carebear has to admit (at least when being honest) that mission-running in highsec is currently far too profitable to the risk involved compared to low and nullsec activities. Let the low/nullsec maniacs have the Lvl 5 missions, they deserve the higher rewards far more - because they risk far more

Those crazy bastards living outside concord's juristiction take risks that most carebears just don't understand. Why is it so incomprehensible to you carebear crybabies that Eve is about the risk to reward ratio? You don't like the risk? Don't do level 5 missions, just like you already don't do high level complexes and just like you don't mine your ABC's.

I'll miss Lvl 5's briefly, but you damned crybabies need to grow a pair and realize that low/nullsec is SUPPOSED to offer better rewards and faster income than highsec. Now quit your crying, your giving all the carebears a bad name. (Pussies)

Signed, an unrepentant carebear.

To some piu-piu in 0.0 on my main driver, I earned ISK making 4 more pilots for missions and trade, often as little time, I did the mission and have fun. Now the missions I have nowhere to grow, 4 lvl is not interesting, and gives little ISK, I will not continue to disburse four pilots for missions, and will only disburse principal Pilate for the piu-piu. Out of this stupid change I must always piu-piu, I disappear a break from PVP and not to be missed ISK on capital ships. EWE simply losing PvE area and the players love it because they have nowhere to grow.

I am very sorry that he bought the playing time for pilots for missions this month, I'm wasting my money. Excuse my bad English.

if anyone feels that strongly then bugger the CSM, form a "solo-level-5-players-union" and withdraw your subscriptions collectively until ccp cave in. My guess is there wouldn't be too many members, but if it cuts down on the whine then it's all good.

My idea... Let's go "totus porkus" and make it impossible to dock anything better than a tech I cruiser (or a transport ship) in empire space and reduce the size of empire space. Basically make EVE a game where people muck around in high-sec during their trial period but are essentially forced out if they want to progress. Make PVP an absolutely standard part of the game (as 3+ missions will be -5 sec) and adjust the missions accordingly (as suggested above and in a number of other posts to promote PvP fits) while increasing isk/hour.

Nothing annoys me more about this game than the cycle between missions (to be bored out of my skull while creating isk) and PvP (to lose isk and have some actual fun).ugh I'd prefer them both to be the same activity.

Well I for one highly support this fix. I wish more would be done to make lowsec more attractive to the general public. Just greater rewards for braving lowsec.

For the record, I am not a pirate nor even a dedicated pvper really. I spend most of my time in lowsec flying probing ships, transports, hulks and orcas.

Please do more to reward non-pvpers who who dare to brave the edges of empire.
