Low sec missions should never be in high sec, however they should offer better rewards for those who brave low sec for them, I spend most of my time in low sec and I still dont believe Level 5 missions are a suitable risk vs reward.

Bigger LP payouts, more frequent storylines for L5s as each mission takes so long and so many need declining, better drops, more with carrier access and less neuts! Seriously CCP whats with that? sure have some missions with neuts, but why all of them?

These changes will make it worth the hefty faction hit (which should be part of it), risks of low/no sec ONLY and the preparation required compared to other missions

Idk, personally I make more isk / hour doing level 5s than I used to in 0.0. Granted I run 4 accounts at once, basically fulfilling the 'run them in a group' rule of thumb.

Yes neutralizing is pretty awful in these missions. One is so bad that it effectively makes it impossible to run. But plenty of missions don't have neutralizing.

Idk, I agree level fives are very risky. Well they will be if CCP removes the ability to be unscannable. And when they do it'll be far too risky to be worth the reward. Being unscannable AND in a group makes them worth it, but taking away the ability to stay off scans effectively forces your group to be twice the size AND pvp fit, halving the value, while doubling the risk.

They don't all have neuts, just the vast majority.

So, was this fix worth it at all?
I realy like to know, i do not mind doing lv 5's, but it would be interesting to know if that change made up for some low-sec traffic.

Dear CCP:

I value playing this game when the weather keeps me wanting to be a shut in but seriously I am going batty with L4 missions and no L5's I mean what is the point of having a big mean mission boat that just levels every NPC ship i encounter. Since I have procured even more advanced modules I can literally do most missions in my sleep. But I ofcourse do not have unlimited assets to replace everything I have if I meander into low sec which to the unskilled capsuleer is suicidal. I understand there is a PVP aspect to this game and sometimes I just want to blow up as many people as I can - i am no PVP genius and there are times I prefer the routine of flying around taking in the view in various other systems. Just to see what the eve world looks like ...

When I choose to stay out of the breach and mission I find there is no new missions for me after all this time. And find a super abundance of people who love to jump in and steal salvage (offtopic) I have taken time to train my SP to almost 22million and seriously whats the point of my continuing advancement of my toons if the entire focus seems to be pointing me to low sec where honestly not everyone wants to go there and risk losing a ship they cannot indefinitely replace. I have lost my share of ships and unless I am running trade missions on one toon playing the market, mining in a roid belt trying to sc**** something out of it before bots show up and pillage the belt on another and mission on a 3rd there is little fun in it for me as the dynamics have not changed and again focus to PVP. Is it really that much to ask that those of us who choose to stay out of PVP engagements not get a little occasional love or at least a pat on the head rather than encounter the 'you want more' go to low sec... I just want to play the game but it seems I have reached an inpass many other mission runners of this thread have... if you are not going to give us more difficult missions forcing us to risk life and limb to get them and just try to complete them without being jumped like a ..... I mean seriously give us a break. Mission Running is a part of EVE too and some of us just want to do that. So how about some new non-pvp space content... I would be perfectly happy with an occasional suicide mission in high sec. If you want to keep the bigger bulk of rewards in low sec *sigh* ok but at least up the antie for those of us in high sec by offering us more difficult missions.

As far as my experience reaches, none (and I mean NOT A SINGLE ONE) of the mission runners I've come across still do Lvl5. Which is essentially what you get when your game dynamics ask people to risk 100 ISK to earn 1 ISK. Rolling Eyes

So apparently Lvl5 could be removed from game now with only a minor impact, another stunningly successful plan by CCP. Confused

10k AUR will improve the chances of a faction spawn at the end of the mission. 20k AUR will enable level 5s to spawn in high-sec. 50k AUR will allow the pilot to choose the system in which all of her missions spawn.

You know it is coming.

I don't know you, but I still run L5 missions and I know plenty of people that still do as well.
100:1 isk risk? I run L5 missions with my main and an alt, both in BSes that cost about 100 Mil fully fit and rigged and run L5 missions just fine. With the LP I get from missions (96K/Mission with my connections skills), and assuming 1000isk/LP (which is still very doable if you are patient), I can replace both my ships in roughly 2 missions. Not exactly risking a lot...Learn to play if you need billion isk ships to run pve missions...

As for everyone else whining about L5 missions only being offered in lowsec now...quit whining! They were designed to only be in low/null sec! If anything we should be happy that CCP actually fixed something to work the way it was intended to work!!

I still do them. I use 4 x rrbs atm. Before the unprobeable nerf I was using 2 x tengu and 1 x machariel. I usually manage 3-4 missions an hour which is 300-400k LP. Over the course of farming 5million LP I lost 1 x typhoon to pvp and 1 x dominix to rats.

Don't want to hav3e to go down to lo/nul sec to do level 5s? Run Incursions.

Personally, I was doing L5s in high sec pre-nerf. Then moved to low sec, after joining a suitable corp. I did a few, but got bored of it. I liked watching TV whilst doing high sec 5s. It's amazing how much that is affected by even the occasional neut.

After a brief trip to 0.0 to do some mining, I stopped playing. This is being posted from the free 5 days thing.
