the challenge of doing them and often doing them with friends is one of the main appealing aspects for me in this game.

If you end up taking it away.. why would i still pay to play?
Don;t nerf the cream of high sec missioning.. it will hurt a very large part of the player base.

I can has your stuffs?

Nerf lvl 4 missions or buff 0.0..

3 years ago, yes, the game was different. Now we have more expensive toys, more DPS, more Tank, a more mature and experienced player base. T

Actually, most things are way cheaper these days, well except for Faction battleships that are almost twice the price they were before Unholy Rage.

I don't think we need missions with more enemy rats, we need smarter rats - if you want a level 6 try running combat sites in a class 6 wormhole :)

Pirates have friends too, even though it sounds unbelievable.

Perhaps this highlights one of the biggest flaws in the game... the huge distinction between pvp and pve ship fittings.

It would be much more tolerable if my baddon+domi pve ships had a reasonable chance of fighting back against one random gank fit BS, but that is not the case due to game design, therefore all pve ships are more or less sitting ducks in the piwate haven that is losec...

CCP's logic would make more sense if a pve fit ship were capable of defending itself in a pvp situation, but the rewards of "bring a fleet to run lvl 5 missions" make them totally unprofitable.

Maybe if the income were high enough that 5-6 players running a lvl 5 mission could make as much per player running lvl 4 missions during the same timeframe, then the L5 missions would be economically viable.

Which is why you put the agents actually in hisec right?

1: lvl 5's do give story lines, same as lvl 4's, and al lother lvl's, after 16 mission,s you get a 100M imp for just moving some matts eas moneying

2: passive tengu could do it alone, i made around 700M - 1.2B a day. depending.

3: lvl 5's are more challenging than lvl 4's, and pay out better, unless you do not know how to run them.

Why don't you do away with high sec altogether? Since tyrannis came out market values for best named mods (a worthless term now) has dropped to 1 to 5% of their previous value..... making missions a non profit venture now. I've been playing for 3.5 years and been in both null and empire and I've nvr seen the likes of it. Hopefully CCP *is* hearing from the CSM's about this as well. From everyone I've talked to who've given planet interaction a try it's a non profit venture as well. If you are going to make empire a place where mining is the only thing taking place and only noobs inhabit it then do it. Sure seems to me to be where all this is heading anyway

I think CCP has made the right call, albeit an unpopular one.

Other changes I'd like to see:

ArrowMore L5 agents overall.
ArrowMore missions versus pirate factions, or at least reduce the standings hit against empire factions.
ArrowSlightly improve L5 rat AI such that they change targets in the manner Sleepers do. This gives the PVE-fit mission runner a chance to fend off incoming pirates.

What's interesting to me (I'll be the "piwate" voice of reason") is how much QQ there is going on in here. You're upset that you can't get a level 5 in a system where you're invincible to all forms of pvp should you choose!!? WE'RE the "big bad boogiemen" who will kill your precious T2 rigged Ishtars and Golems and whatever have you if you come to low sec!? We're RUINING your livelihood? You're CANCELLING your second account!!??

Look, stay in high sec, run your 4s, shut the **** up. This game has sucked your dongs for the last what, 5 years? Be grateful you're the majority of CCP's subscribers or pvp would REALLY be up your ass. You're letting us win, and you're making it way too easy to taste your tears. This is hilarious... missions NOT profitable enough... HAH. You OWN the isk faucet of eve online! I'm sorry we want to play in the "brutal, harsh" environment that CCP (keeps nerfing; I'm looking at you, pirates) attempts to provide for us. Stay in high sec, seriously. We don't care if you "want to experience LEVEL FIVE (AHMAHGAHD) missions and have a "challenge" for once. you MISS that part of the game the day you decide to slave away at the most un-fun aspect of the entirety of Eve. Here's a "challenge": Go to your nearest low sec. . . do ANYTHING, and try to survive.

Anti-piracy is as easy as piracy by the way.

Like with all game companies and their failure to embrace a significant idea, at the end of the day, it's all about the bottom line, and how much they can get away with...

If we're ever to see L5 missions in hi sec again, the only statistic anyone needs to see is this one:

Dear CCP,

Please provide replacement PVE content for High sec. With that I don't mean the rewards, but the challenge x2. Give us things as:
Rogue CONCORD fleets
Capital sized Rogue Drones on a high sec raid
Large Sansha's Nation kidnapping fleets

so i guess ccp is un aware of the real problems with eve..

PLEASE EVERYONE REMIND THEM OF THE GRID LAG / LOADING ISSUE FOR LARGE FLEET FIGHTS. BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THEY ARE NOT AWARE OF IT. SINCE THEY KEEP ADDRESSING THINGS TO PUSH PLAYERS INTO 0.0, AND YET LEAVE THE 0.0 FLEET EXPERIENCE SO ****Y THAT PEOPLE DONT WANT TO BE IN 0.0.

The really funny thing is that this announcement sounds like there are L5 agents in 0.0 - which were never introduced.

Apart from that, L5s were introduced as lowsec only, and only a few random agents give highsec missions, and those aren't evenly distributed through all 4 factions. So, personally, good riddance.

This programming time should have been used in improving the number 1 problem in game: lag at fleet engagements... Whenever there are 600+ ships on the road around the same constelation, the entire region can become laggy...

Regarding Level 5's, a good balance would be adding about 30 more Lvl 5 agents per NPC corp, so pirates also get a little more distributed and the so much desired randomness apply to them too... Add more routes too... Why there is only 1 pipe to get to some places, with the alternative involving 20+ extra jumps?

I run all my missions in lowsec, have for years. the odd pirate or 20 is fun. adds a little flavor to the game. keep your scanner up, watch local, makes some friends and keep an eye on intel channels. stop being babies and go play in lowsec. it's not that dangerous if you learn how to cover your ass.

Of course there's always that one other alternative.. FIGHT BACK. that's also FUN. crybaby bears and their salty tears ftw.

Running level 5 missions in High-sec was a very lucrative venture, netting 50-150 mill / hour if you include lp rewards. Now, this is assuming that you only need one ship to tank 'Super tanked Rattler' and 2 very high DPS ships. So that puts the barrier of entry at about a 4 billion isk investment.

Basically it was safe secure very high yield income that was only available to the highest sp players with fatter wallets than many.

Now, we have to go to lowsec, so basically let's forget about using faction and deadspace fit marauders and faction BS, because even with insurance changes they still don't pay out well.

Most missions have accel gates, so 'just use capitals' hardly works. On top of the fact that scanning is easier than ever before and that most level 5 missions are right on the borders of FW fleets. Basically level 5 missions are now a moot point.

very few to no people will run them because they basically require capital ships or RR fleets of unscannable ships which will take ages to run.

So we're left with two obvious conclusions, either make level 5s somewhat more accesible to everyone and lower the reward, or leave them as they are and raise the reward.

Either that or be part of a large corp of pvp/pve pilots based out of lowsec.

I'm with sporkith.

Excuse me devs. Please stop working on whatever it is that you're doing(like improving fleet battle performance) and stop giving these carebears high sec missions. The PVP players that run CCP think this is a better use of your time.

QFT, and I'M the pirate! Low sec is easy to avoid PVP if you do it right, all I'm sayin. LOL @ the guy whos ragequitting 4 accounts hahaha

Also this, from rofflesausage: No issues with the change, but seriously, put a LOT more L5 mission agents in low sec.

well as some said before a continuation of the process to ban any half way interesting content for pve and mission runner player.
To run a lvl 5 mission in crowded low sec with some friends in more or less expensive mission fitted ships is suisite and will always lead to big losses over the time .. no sense in doing this beside you have such a strong corp and security team behind you that can enter to help in case of need.
All other players are still limited to do lvl 4 or to play victim for pvp freaks

Love this as a low-sec only player! Was really annoying to keep getting them in high sec all the time when I'm outlaw.

Best of all with all the players not able to farm them now my LP/isk should increase as well :D

btw CCP: Perhaps introduce several more lvl 5 agents to all races, there are rather few of them, and they also do not exist in 0.0 currently. Also i would love to see some new lvl 5's as well.

To the whiners, adapt or die Twisted Evil I'll be making even more isk and pvp even more from it now YARRRR!!

Im all for people moving to lowsec, they just need to make it more worthwile. Higher Rat Bounties or something. More Level 4s and Level 5 agents.

Fix the tediousness of keeping a POS running.

Do something about lame ass scanning mechanics too......

Im in a bad mood today, forgive my rant.

This is the most ******ed patch ever.

1. Planet mining is a joke.
2. Lvl 4 missions from obscure agents are almost a thing of the past with 50% sending you to low sec. Therefore you're going to go right back to overcrowded mission hubs which you tried to fix with the last patch.
3. Lvl 5 missions go from "something fun" but not terribly profitable, to something noone does.

At least my Rattlesnake is purdy, and super cheap too once all the lvl 5 mission runners dump theirs onto the market.

Buy a drake and a t1 logi bonus cruiser, add an alpha-strike hurricane, and you've got everything you need for less than 150m. 4b... lol

The correct way to fix the game would be to remove low sec. The population is in .5+ and 0.0, .1-.4 is just full of bottom feeders that **** with others just playing the game.

Well done. OH hey Every body lets take the t2 and faction fitted ships into null sec for a level 5..... Yey. Bubbles? What are all these bubbles around the gate? And how come theres a greeting party of 40+ ships?

What you mean we cant complete the level 5 now? Oh all the ships were killed by the gate camp fleet who owned that part of null sec? And CCP wont do anything to help? Oh well then.

Theres just a small portion of what the convos will be like. Whos brain in CCP was working magic the day you thought up "Lets make missions go into null sec! No the sovernty holders wont mind, there always an understanding lot."

Its amazingly funny how on the one hand CCP always says "eve is a game to go where ever, and do what ever you want" Then the right hand comes around, ***** slaps you and points to low sec, and null sec.

HAHAHAHAHAH. The correct way to fix the game would be to move all level 4s to .5-.6 and low missions going higher, that way there'd be SOME RISK in doing 4s as they would eventually send you to low sec.

Well i personally have run tons of lvl 5 missions high and low sec sometimes in raven with logi alt in support but recently on me own in passive nighty or tengu. Not once did i ever see ccp state it was a bug or an exploit so whoever said we should be permabanned is a bit of a tit.

so its a bug ..mmm imo i reckon the steady increase in players running them on thier own has just p***** off ccp. after all these players might only of spent few hundred mill on thier ships to run them with and so many months skilling for them.. how dare they:p

just seems that ccp cant really be bothered with pve player based..lets face it all the more challenging pve related stuff has the risk of it being in low sec so pvp..mm pve ship in a pvp infested regions(0.0) dont think so. Wormholes have some grt challenges for pve players the sleepers are grt for solo or grp related tasks. but again it runs the risk of pvp and atleast ships can still be fitted for pvp when in grp..but solo best to tank and tank ard.. soon as pirates attack ..well nough said.

doesnt really bother me that much. ive played for over 6yrs now so i can earn isk easy. i only choose to run them for the challenge. i cant stand lvl 4 missions as i only really get time to sit and mission ***** of an evening when the kids are in bed and i dont have to get up for work. trouble is i always fall asleep from complete bordom. when i wake from my slumber hrs later i have a stiff neck and bck and i feel like i am actually sitting in the pod i see on screen hehe.

maybe you should just leave it as it is and introduce lvl 6 as pure capital, low sec, grp related missions
and stop whining ccp:)
