So we found a big problem when trying to kill a nighthawk today. Our carrier could not assign fighters to anyone. Thinking it was a glitch, the carrier logged off and we killed the nighthawk with normal methods.
Afterwords we decided to do some experimenting, and what we found out was.
The carrier can only assign fighters to people who are uncloaked.
The carrier can only assign fighters to people who are within overview distance.
If you cloak up, you lose control of the drones.

I just blacked out and woke up dumber. Now I have this annoying girl in my head telling me to kill kittens.
And yeah. It may make null sec carrier kills easier, but this severly gimps Whole carriers.

the underlined is the only thing I see as new and "issue". The rest seem pretty viable and IIRC were already that way. One of the stealth changes CCP? |

so now a carrier has to be on grid to give fighters? may as well not bother with fighters cos 1. they cost alot and 2. t2 heavy drones would probably be better for most targets |

I want a decent answer to a question from a paying customer, are these changes to carrier mechanics intentional or are they bugs. I'm just getting a little sick of ccp running there company like a team of college kids programming code in someone's basement. Employ some public relations staff. |

ok well it was my carrier and the issue was that i can no longer assign fighters without being on grid ... so my question is is this a bug or a change that someone decided not to tell us about?? |
