Is anything going to be done for trial players that got shorted a full day on there trials due to the extended downtime and subsequent added downtime for hot fixing? .. I lent items to a friend I was trying to get into the game and can't get them back now due to the lost play time. I think that giving a day back to the trials that where active at the dome of the update would be a fair thing to do.

Sorry about my mostly negative feedback, but...
i don't like:
- new adressbook with standings inside without any folders (seriously, it sucks)
- the new suns (very poor)
- new planets distribution (3-4 earth-like in 1 system)
- planets still without clouds mostly.
- agents give missions some X jumps away- more time sink.
- npc loot nerf
- right alligning of distance in overview

i like:
- increased perfomance (fps)
- scorp model
- dominix animation fixed

idk if this is related to the patch but I could not find a single anom in many many level 5 infrastructure systems idk if I missed it in the patch notes or this was something that was not seen but I do miss doing anoms. Other then that I am super excited to start building up stuff on planets. Also nice job putting the time and effort into coming up with a way to bring the price of minerals back up

now I don't know if it already has been mentioned , since I didn't read all 10 pages , but what I have to say really pi**es me off as a mission runner is that my income has been cut in half , since the loot in most missions has been dramaticly reduced in value. Missions sutch as "damsel in distress" Gone berserk" etc. were good missions wwith a large income margin , now allmost all Large weapons have been removed from loot decreasing my income in missions like I mentioned by aprox 5 million per mission.

I would hope that this gets changed back to previous settingsw as I don't have that mutch time and do to loot thieves this drasticly reduces game income.Crying or Very sad

Thanks for taking this into consideration in advance , I bet manny more will come , if they haven't come before me somewere in this post already.

Is there any way to change the window color? I liked the black better, I'm sorry, the blue teal is just not working for me.

I won't discuss whether nerfing insurance for t1 ships is good or not. But there is one think that needs to change in that system. When your ship blows up you should be getting payout that was agreed when you purchased insurance. That kinda makes sense, it doesn't make sense that I pay insurance 60M for BS, then patch hits and I get 110M payout. Same goes for future insurance balancing. No one wants to be thinking 'should I insure my ship, balancing hits in 3 days'.

Other than that, some small bugs and glitches, same as usual. People overreacting, same as usual.

Haven't done any anomalies yet, so can't comment much on new loot drops. But to people saying your mission profit is cut to half, think again. Even if salvaging was worth it before the patch (and a lot of people claim it wasn't), profit from blitzing was realy close. Now, you can just blitz missions and you'll be earning tiny bit less.

Btw, sun looks terrible.

I have a major beef about this latest patch. Our corp took the time to set our high sec research pos up at a very scenic loacation. We log on, go to our pos and our beautiful earth like planet is now a big ugly plain white gas planet. What was the point in changing out our planets like that?ugh

Biggest issue I have had with the patch has been with the overview not updating. For example, I will be ratting in a belt, the rats will be 60km away when I warp in. 5 minutes later, still at 60km, but if you double click on the default tab, it will update the ranges on them. Makes pvp interesting though...

As opposed to most criticism I've seen here (and don't worry I could also dish plenty of sh*t* ) I would like to say something else, while trying to be constructive.

I'll start with the worst: This is a feedback thread, with plenty of questions hanging around unanswered, and we only had a SINGLE response from CCP. And it was to tell us that:
Quote:
https://gate.eveonline.com/ is the official URL of EVE Gate.

Hey thanks a bunch. I mean, is really THAT long to take 10 minutes and shoot a few direct answers to what has been going on ? If they ARE reading the thread, I consider it quite rude from them to just sit back and don't even deign say something.

For a company who is incredibly player-feedback focused, you are incredibly NOT player focused. And since we don't have answers we keep on complaining. Moving on !

Eve Gate: It has potential and you had the brains to put "BETA" on it to explain the bugs and lack of usability. I don't think many players will ever use the broadcast feature unless it is linked in-game or something. But it was worth a shot, even if I think you just ripped the concept from facebook/twitter and every damn social website out there which was a really stupid idea. But who knows, you might know better than all of us. Portraits are bugged but I'm sure its just a mixup from the string you store the portraits/logo in, thus easily fixable. Other than that I think the privacy settings are too vague, don't do like facebook and screw with user's privacy.

Planetary Interaction: Copy-Pasted from the patch notes
Quote:
The planets of EVE and their resources are now yours to use

Quote:
Planetary Infrastructure can be built using Command Centers, Extractors, Processors, Storage Facilities and Spaceports. These are all connected using Links.

Quote:
Planetary commodities and products can be imported to and exported from a planet using the Customs office, connected to all spaceports built on a planet.

We can play with planets now, great huh ? Except we can't. But this is weird, you started making an expansion in which we could use planets. You delayed that, understandable. Then patch hits and we can't do stuff that even your patch notes said. This leads me to wondering: why even release it ? Sure, you will seed Command Centers starting at the 8th of June but since that was the basis of the patch why not just put them in when it lands ?

I have pursued the thought process and came to a number of conclusions: you want to leave us time to train skills and learn about planets so no one screws that. Or you might have encountered bugs but you already delayed the patch once. Maybe even you wanted to give us time to scan for planets. Either way, why not simply tell us ? One message, somewhere by a mod. Can't take more than 1 minute to post and about 15 minutes to decide the impact of this "leak".

New Scorpion skin : Ok great.

Address book: I don't even use it but I'm forced to take the side of those who want to make folders. I mean, did you guys take time to think this through ? It must've been a wicked thought process that gave birth to such an idea. I promise we won't think you are dumbasses if you roll back those changes. Its NOT a production's mistake to take a bad idea that was once good, back into a good feature.

Calendar: Sounds useful, too bad its limited. No no no no, please don't go make it bigger and bigger. Fix our bugs first, I think we can all agree the calendar can wait.

Thats all I had to say, may the angry mob of players looking to bash another person spare my head, I rather like it.

I have had it with reading forums for this game. Between patch day, and this thread, I have seen 90% whining, if you don't like the game, play something else, don't make it everybody else's problem... and by that I mean the alsers Im getting from realizing whats happening to the world....

Just so I got all this straight. WE got a website, a scorpion model, 5 skills, and some higher res corp logos, and it's an expansion?

Also, how you guys managed to take an outdated corp logo system that was capable of just over 1 billion different possible variations, upgrade their graphics, and make them suck MORE than before, I'll never know. You guys take classes in backpedaling? This hit epic on the fail-o-meter.

edit: and since when is Oxygen a NOBLE gas? last I checked, it blows up, hence reactive, hence, not a noble gas. oh yeah, and it's an element.

Say, I wondered - knowing that EVE is heavily 'pvp' are my planetary bases vulnerable to either destruction, or capture? or is it just that other players 'could' build a colony next to mine, and deplete the resources?

The resource stealing thing I can live with... investing tons of time and isk into building up a colony, only to have it captured or destroyed... no thanks.

I appreciate any response.

Right then here goes. I've been playing this game for 11 weeks now and was introduced by a group of guys from Evony. Trained my learning got into a rifter and started doing level 4 missions with the vets. It now seems that missions are worthless, all the players which I mission with are pretty pist off as its our main source of income to survive and build with until we train enough relevant skills for other careers.
With this 60-70% reduction in looting which I think is a seriously flawed mistake are we now being forced into PVP combat and Planet Interaction, do we have to spend $70 a fortnight night on plex just to get our iskies up to where it would be without the changes. A lot of people relied on Mission running especially the noobs and now I wonder how you plan on attracting new players and keeping them when the only real revenue source for the noobs has been taken away. As a noob I'm pretty pist off that this has happened and all I do now is watch the skill que waiting to fly my first T2 ship so I have a chance at some kind of PVP.

10 pages is too long to check if this had been posted, but the ice planets are too 'bright'. If I scan the planet, I cannot see the resource distribution the white planet overwhelms the scan results. The distribution is there, but can't be seen.

No problems on other planets (although the light green does tender to get lost on the gas and temperate planets).

So the choice is to wait for the tutorial and get a free skillbook or just spend 1.25 and get the skills training for 2 weeks instead?

I like new patch.
I like ability to read/write ingame mail without actually logging into the game. I like calendar, although I don't like this social networking stuff and I think, that default privacy setting should be "No one".
New insurance system is fine, even if I would prefer it to be removed entirely. Rolling Eyes
And if lvl5 missions do not spawn in highsec anymore(nothing written about it in patch notes) - it's best patch ever! Twisted Evil

I find it absolutely okay that Tyrannis is deployed in two parts, so the PI skills can be trained BEFORE the big run on the planets.
The calendar is really cool. But there are three major points that are quite bad:

1. as already mentioned here several times: there is no possibility to adapt the contact system with own folders.
One can only search by name, but if I want to have a list of all the couriers I've already worked with, I can't.
So, there should at least be an attribute to the contacts called "Keywords" or "Category", so you can sort or
at least search by category by this attribute.

2. The extreme nerf of the mission loots. That's not balancing that's simply making one branch of EVE worthless to
play.

3. The broadcast system should be generally separated into "private" and "corp/Alliance", because I think that there
is a lot of interest to communicate with both sides separately.

u still get bounties from missions...... u still get meta 1-4 loot and u still get salvage... so what u dont get much meta 0 loot, big deal... mine if u want mins that was the point of the loot nerf. it very easy whine u dont get as much mins but a hulk pilot spent months training up to use it so it should be right that the mins should mostly come from mine ores.

Hey guys ... hm I really dont understand why it is so difficult to understand why PI is deactivated.

When you read tha anouncment carefully and also recognize that SiSi is since the patchday constantly occupied by developers/bug-hunters it is so obvious what was/is happening.

Planetary Interaction is so heavily bugged that even CCP dont try to release it (even knowing that CCP normaly not have any problem to release known bugs)

My guess also this 8th of June is a bogus date ... I bet at this date no Command Center will be seeded

Thats all understandable and happens in software development all the time. The real anoying thing about this situation is ... at least a bit honesty from CCP could have been taken place ... right now they handle there customers like they where stupid morones

Your signature isnt worth much if you didnt even look so far as to see the number of skill books added

There are more than 2.

Have you even read the patch notes and seen all of the fixes and changes?

This expansion is a baby step towards much greater goals for EVE and EVE players. Some of you folks need to stop station camping and explore the game more.

as i see it we got
5 skill books (planet related)
Pos Bpo's
Pos Mod Bpo's
Pos Construction Compontents Bpo's
A new Scorpion model
A useless insurence system that means now t1 ships as well as t2 ships arent worth insuring either.
A social networking site that is set open to all by default (potential security risk).
A broken contact system (old one was fine).

Contact system is not broken. You dont need to add the entire eve universe into your contacts. 300 should do it just fine. You were limited to 300 with Dominion on setting standings anyhow and that fricken old slider they had made it virtually impossible to reset a persons standings back to a perfect 0.0 neutral standing.

In fact, as a PvP pilot, I preferred not to have ppl in my contacts because when they logged off or on there was significant lag that put me at risk of being killed or podded.

Again, it amounts to people just having to get used to the new system.

I think the new contacts (standings) system is much better.

Thanks for the income nerf for mission runners. Seems like a bludgeoning way of getting people mining again. Seeing as though a hulk pilot can mine more trit in a couple hours than I can from 4 weeks of mission running. Sure it would have been fine if there had of been even a vague effort in this or the last two expansions to give the mission runners some decent lvl 4 missions that are not just designed to destroy standing with a major faction. Even a token increase in bounties would have been nice. Apart from the loot nerf it seems that salvage drops have increased by a reasonable amount. Thats nice. The market for that stuff should tank nicely as well. All in all an expansion that took much much much more than it gave for the mission running fraternity, and gave so much more to those that already had the most. Hows that for your precious balance.
