I think part of the confusion is a possible error in your blog. You said:

I think what you meant to say was:

"...make itemIDs from the Junkyard available for use and then continually overwrite them as if they were NOT available."

i.e. Newly created items were getting these ID's before they were fully cleaned up and ready for use by the DB.

If this assumption is correct, then only transactions that occurred during this time that needed a new ID of that particular type, and got an ID that wasn't fully cleaned would be effected. So in all likelyhood only players actively online during that time, or perhaps had lots of in-game assets "in motion" (possibly factory jobs, POS reactions, etc) would be effected.

So for someone like me that wasn't playing at the time, and only found out about the DT long after the fact, It seems likely I was completely untouched by this. Actually, from the statistics mentioned, most of EVE was still uneffected because you guys caught it before the corruption could become widespread.
