winning a fairly even fight is great , but

the figures I gave are from the caldari killboard , I believe there was a 3rd gallente carrier on the field but it does not appear on the killboard.

If we assume that the amarr were not involved the bs/bc ratios are :-

BS 36 v 22
BC 26 v 17

I dispute that those figures indicate "slightly outnumbered"

?

Hey Deadbolt, i dont like blobs (thats the actual reason my corp is about to leave FW - cause there has been no nearly fair fight for us in the FW-area ever since we were in it. You always get blobed by gallente). And that fight was nowhere near a blob-fight. The Amarr-Fleet was indeed in the fight at the very beginning and the end. They however had to leave (like shown in the second vid of my last post) due to outnumbering forces of gallente. Caldari-Fleet couldn't get in the fight as fast as we wanted, cause half of the fleet managed it to get themself an aggro-timer by shooting a god damn single gallente hurricane. So gallente never really faced the whole number of our combined fleets. Not to speak of the caldari bait squad that was seperated from us in the fight longer than we wanted - see reason above. So we are actually talking about 3 Groups that the 140 pilots were split up to. All of them engaging in the fight at different times and 2 of them under outnumbered conditions. What so ever, when the caldari main fleet arrived you were indeed outnumbered in terms of present battleships and battlecruisers. But you didnt mention the at least 6 logistic ships the gallentians had (caldari 0, amarr at least 1). And in terms of damage one single Carrier easily can match 2 Battleships, in terms of HP 10 Battleships and additionally functions as 1-2 logistic ships (You had 3 of them). So gallente had alot repairing capabilities that should be implemented in your BS/BC calculations. So taking the given numbers, types of ships and situations i will call the fight almost fair (thats why it took 20-30 minutes) and never a blob (we blobed a few BS minutes before - lasted 1 minute). But as mentioned in my last post, gallente was slightly outnumbered. But since you knew who was running around (cause of all your little spies) and picked the fight, bringing the shiny carriers, i guess gallente thought they could actually win the fight.

PS: Sry for the many words (i know most people are not into reading nowadays) and possible grammatical errors, since thats not my motherlanguage.

It is possible to have fun and avoid blobage in FW ... Basterds and Pervs are good examples how to do it. Just avoid the "Lemming nature" in urself and use few more neurons.

If you have doubts check our stats on killboards.

And problem of Gals hotdroping even frig gangs is slowly solving, just be patient - do not worry. Twisted Evil

Regarding this and the "gallente always blob me", a few notes:

1) The actions of a few cap happy gallente is not indicative of the entire militia. (And I sincerely wish you the best of luck in popping frig gang dropping caps!)

2) If you guys ever want a fair fight (1v1's I do in an instant, or qcats has sometimes done a "we'll each bring x cruisers to system y") look me up, we might be able to arrange something.

and 3... being blobbed is not unique to the caldari militia :P I think my last few "solo" fights have been 2 - 4 vs 1

e.g. from my last 10 kills...

http://gallente.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=6495471 <-- stealth bomber was taking potshots at me too but warped out
http://gallente.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=6448993 <-- my corpmate heard me fighting on vent and logged in and warped in after I had warped out... getting on no killmails but nicely recording what had been shooting me :)

However, I fully agree that no matter our intention to try and bring reasonably balanced fights, both sides blob each other repeatedly.

Finally, Super Chair WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE with your comment about just having fun \0/ - as a caldari militia pilot once said to me..

You speak honorable words, I like you. I kill you last. (But your comment on ECM will probably get you jammed first ;) )

As for "blobbing"...meh...it happens. Always will. Sometimes we blob, other times the Squids. Everyone wants in on the fight and once word spreads of one, good luck turning people away...

blobbing is just enviromental obstacle ... something like rain or fog ... same with hotdropping ...

all this things have solutions and they just help you to find it

and ofc once i will have numbers and caps I will do hotdrop blobage too ... however I like my wolfpack so much, that u r not save in frigs too :)

Everyone blobs in Eve. Only whiners and those who have recently lost to a blob bother to complain about it.

And, as I've said for months, if you want ship balanced fights do as Chat also suggest and set them up. Pretty much any corp in the MDP will honor an arranged fight.

As much as you may get off on it, I don't like humping your falcon with FoF, I much rather perfer using EM, Non-FoF missles on you Razz

But yeah blobbing happens, some of the funnest fights are when you're outnumbered though! Very Happy

Yeah your fleet was a bit scattered that's why we got some kills and held our own in the skirmishes leading up to the main fight. But once everyone had gathered and were sitting on the Kedama gate in Nisuwa, that's when we got wtfpwned and lost a carrier. Aggression from shooting a hurricane does not last 30 minutes. We blob, you blob, everyone blobs. Nothing wrong with it. Why can't you just be like the rest of your buddies, acknowledge you heavily outnumbered us this time, and say gf?

to be fair no one was listening in that fleet and three people said right after i said hold the field, spammed comms with run they outnumber us 2 to 1 on comms and fleet chat. In reality we outnumbered them 2 to 1 they were in cruisers and we were in battle cruisers.....i think i had the right to curse people out
