V1.1 Inbound

Added A HTML export for the purchase/build list that can be viewed in the IGB with autosexxylinkies for view market details.

Not quite there yet, but if your using this sheet then check back here occasionally for the update.

There's an error in the build material/cost for co-processor IIs.
It's missing the tech 2 components.

Thanks.
I'll get that sorted in 1.1

Very nice tool. I do have a few questions though:

How does it calculate build price for invention. Does it go off if I build all mats myself or if I buy them?

Seems to me T2 Sentry Drones have a very high build cost compared to actual build cost which is why I am asking.

---

Double checked, under the make colum it has correct build cost for a Garde T2, but under invention build cost it is like 3 times higher, showing that you make little to no isk to produce them via invention. Kinda confused on that.

The price it uses for all sub components is the higher of value or build cost.

If you dont want it to use market value of subs then delete all the entrys in the value field for subcomponents.

The build cost in the invention sheet also includes the cost of the invention attempts.

The make sheet does not have the invention cost unless you press the "copy best to make sheet" button, At which point the miscellaneous cost fields in the make sheet is populated with the invention cost per run, also the me and pe are setup by this.

You can copy the values manually if you want to.

After pressing "copy best to make" then the price shown in the invention sheet and make sheet should match.

Sorry for hld up in v1.1 I have been really busy, but hopefully will find some time to get it done soon.

I am probably not grasping somthing. When looking at build cost in the first sheet it says about 260k which is just about perfect. Then I goto invention sheet, costs about 1.4mil per invention with about 50%, so 2.8mil for 1 10 run bpc = about 280k per run cost, which so far adds up

So you add the build cost 260k + 280k = 540k, they sell for about 900k so should be about 4mil profit per bpc. But shows a loss. All the prices for build materials and sell price of the t2 drone is correct. The only thing that is off is the build cost, shows 850k. Not sure how it even comes close to that number, that is 3 times the build cost, and if that included inventino costs still 2 times. And its the same problem with ammo and a few other items. Somethign is way off with your build costs.

I just check Garde II on the Drone Sheet

I got recent prices from Eve Metric
Using the default price for The 1500 input bpc of 1,000,000

All skills at 5

Invention Cost of 2,907,414 for 50% chance of me-4 pe-4 10 run

Cost per run shows 576,868
Item Build Cost shows 870,027

This is 293,159 for the Manufacturing.

293,159 Manu + 576,868 Invention = 870,027

Garde II value ( on make sheet from Eve metrics ) = 932,682

932,682 - 870,027 = 62655 profit per unit.

This is the same as what it shows on Invention sheet

I checked make sheet with me -4 and that shows 293,159 for manu alone

So all the numbers add up.

It might be that you have acciedntally broken the sheet?

Avoid sorting or cutting and pasting rows
Avoid dragging input values from 1 input to another if the sheet is unprotected
Copy and paste of values should be ok.

Try a fresh sheet just for garde and see if you get the right price.

Okay bolded what I was missing, did not realize it used 1mil per bpc, that is the same problem I am having with the ammo as well.

Is it possible to change that 1mil to 100k?

The values for input bpc values are held in Input cells.

You can change them to be whatever you think is best.

You have to do them manually though because Eve-Metrics / Eve-Central can not download prices for these items as they are not sold on the market.

Version 1.1 Released

Fixes

Fixed Co-processor II

There were some T2 components missing from the T2 Co-Pro build.
This I traced back to the datadump I have been using to generate the sheets. ( The data in these sheets is generated by a SQL script against a MySQL Database )

I downloaded the latest dump and this seems to have cleared up the issue with co-pro II.

Alterations

Replaced the "In Production" column with a "Purchase" column in the make sheet.
These cells are used to tell the spreadsheet to include purchases of choosen items in the purchase and build summary.
subcomponents needed or raw materials needed are reduced accordingly.

Changed Input BPc Names

from "Blueprint name x runs"
to "x run Blueprint name"

New Feature

Added a new button "Purchase and Build HTML"

This generates the same output as the Purchase and Build Summary Button.
But instead of displaying on screen the Summary is generated as a HTML ( Web Browser ) File.

The folder of files created will be
Windows = <My Documents>\EveIMMS\
Mac = <Home Directory>/EveIMMS/

An index of all files is also created.
Both URLs ( On the Local File System ) are displayed in the Summary sheet output area.
I recommend copying the Index URL and Pasting it into the IGB.
Then Bookmark.
This way you never have to copy and paste again to locate your Purchase and Build Summaries.

Why use the IGB ?

The Purchase and build summary is displayed as a table.
The first column is Quantity of item required for your builds.
.Double click this to select the value
.Right click and select copy
The second column contains the item name.
Clicking on the name opens the market screen at the selected item.
Its then simply a job of starting a buy order and pasting the quantity into it.

The only thing you have to set manually is the price you want to pay.

I find this simplifies the purchasing process greatly.

Sorry to keep asking questions just trying to use this great tool

Does your ammo for total profit show that you get 5000 per run or 4 per run? Seems to me its a bit lower

Lore Varan

Batch size is taken into account.

On the make sheet.
You enter the quantity of an item you want.
The sheet tells you how many runs on a bp you will need to do to get at least that many.
All subsequent calcs for expendeture , mat reqs are based of the number of runs.

So you put in I want to make 3000 barrage small.
This requires 1 run on a small barrage bp.

All calcs are based off doing 1 run on a barrage bp.

Of course you end up ingame with 5000 units , not 3000 because 5000 is the batch size.

On the invent sheet.

Invention cost is cost to make 1 attempt at invention ( batch size irrelevant )
Cost per run is ( Invention cost per output run recieved ) again batch size irrelevant

Item build cost is the cost for a single finished item ( batch size is relevant here )

Formula for calc is
Item build cost = ( Invent cost [per output bpc run] + build cost [for a batch of items] ) / Batch size

Profit per Item ( This is for a single item ) its the value specified in the make sheet ( for a single item ) - Item build cost ( also single item )

Profitablity takes into account batch size.

It is Profit per item / time taken to produce 1 run * batch size.

Perfect!

One suggestion as an add on for the next version maybe, make a colum next to the 1 day profit, and put a Total BPC Profit colum as well.

Basicly take runs*build profit should come out right.

Wanted to first say thanks for this excellent tool. As a new inventor this has helped in learning how its done and making the math alot easier.

I was curious though the spreadsheet under the buy sheet doesnt show datacores that are needed. Is this intended? Does it still take the cost of those into account?

Datacores are in the spreadsheet.
There in the buy sheet , scroll down a bit
They only appear as purchase requirements if you signify you are making an invention attempt in the invent sheet "All methods" table.

Hey there, in the "make" section I have some questions about a few columns that do nothing.
Maybe I don't know what they are for.
Insight would be great.
The Columns are the following
Quantity( doesn't change the profit per day??? Why)
In Stock
Purchase
#BPO
Cheers!

This looks very promising. I've been searching for an invention aid which checks for the most profitable combination of decryptor and meta item.

I did get a runtime error while importing prices from Eve Central. See here: http://eve-files.com/dl/233374

This happened just after I had opened my own OpenOffice spreadsheet while doing the Eve Central import from your spreadsheet. I don't know if that had anything to do with it. My own production spreadsheet is fairly simple and doesn't contain any macros.

(I will retry the Eve Central import later)

Quantity( doesn't change the profit per day??? Why)

Profit per day is a estimated value based on me/pe of blueprint.
It the amount of money you can potentially make if you run 1 production line for 1 day with the BP.

Quantity ( that you want to make ) does not affect this estimation.

In Stock

Here you signify to the sheet if you allready have a number of the item in your hangar.
Anything you specify here will be removed from purchase or build requirement and hense minerals or moon goo you need to buy.

Purchase

Similar to instock , except if you use this column the amount specified appear in purchase and build summaries.

#BPO

The number of BPO's of this type that you own.
ALters the number of days to complete build calculation.

Yes I have seen this error too.
Happens if the macro is stopped before completion at any point and then run again.

Not sure why it happens yet.
If you get this.

.Save the sheet
.Close and reopen the sheet.
.run the import again.

Allow the import to complete before doing other stuff with oo.

1.Noctis to the manufacture section
2.A markup modifier to the purchase / build summary
