Rogue Drone Compounds
The rogue drone compounds had three distinct problems. The first being the specific type of NPC is found marauding through drone space and the second, what they dropped in component terms, as well as what the components reprocessed to. The overall supply was far from the actual demand rates required by manufacturing meaning there is excess in some cases of certain minerals.
The fundamental focus of our changes are to alter both the quantities dropped of each drone compound from the NPC entities but also change the quantities of minerals they reprocess to, so they more precisely fit with the ratio of materials required by manufacturing and therefore the market demand. This will help generally decrease the volume of the loot so will be easier to haul the compounds to station for example in addition.
This provides the additional benefit of allowing drone region dwellers to be more self-sufficient by having a better ratio of all minerals for their own production whilst not adversely oversupplying the global market with certain excess minerals.

My question is: If someone maybe saved all his Drone compounds in a station can since he started playing. Should he reporcess them all now or after the changes...

The blog states that they will "change the quantities of minerals they reprocess to". So do I reprocess now or later....

Thoughts?

So .. the drone stuff will refine into less and slightly different minerals I'd say?
I think I'll refine my stash of alloys and compounds asap!

Kinda what I was thinking.
My worry was what if they drop the low end minerals and increase the high end....

However I believe the overall goal of this whole process is to lower the amount of minerals from mission loot and Drone compound reprocessing.... thus having the majority of the minerals in the game come from real miners. (which I do agree with).

So therefore, I shall be refining my compounds shortly.

so... after holding onto all this phat lewts since you started playing doing nothing with it other htn keeping it in a can... you are suddenly worried about its value? dude, just melt stuff and sell it or build something out of it, value in hanger equals zero.

You do make a very valid point Gavin Miner.

I do tend to be a horder. I save nearly everything I get, but when I need a new ship I go make it myself etc. I don't really play to make isk, I play to be self sufficient and for enjoyment.

I main concern with the compounds is that I maximize the high end minerals I can get from them.
