Trying to build some rep, doing lvl 1 missions. And i keep getting this uterly ridiculous idiotic mission, Troop buildup. It wants you to travel 15-30 jumps , into a 0.2 sec system to do a f***ing lvl 1 mission for a reward i can earn 1000 times more in 3 minutes on a 10 second lvl 3 mission. FIX IT!!!!, it isnt fair too keep getting this crap mission after grinding 16 god damn mission, im sick of it. Im all for a bit of diversity in missions, but this is a LVL 1!!!!!!! mission. It makes no sense, it is counter productive and comes up WAY too often. Ive had it 4 times now in a few days, there is no Way, NO WAY it is worth the risk in this or any other parallel dimension. FFS fix it, s**t i dont like wasting my g*d d**m time doing the same boring missions to get screwed over with this crap.....

SNIP a lot of E-rage

Question Have you tried completing the mission and comparing the standings gain to other level one missions? Sometimes the less convenient missions are the ones that really make a difference on your way to... GASP!... level two missions.

Arrow Your choices are to stay with the mission or decline it.

Idea There is also a forum area just for Missions & Complexes. In there you will find a lot of resources pertaining to your predicament. Perhaps you can learn from others' mistakes. Perhaps you can advance more quickly through the game to reach a point where stupid missions are unlikely to make you this angry.

Hope this helps.

reminds me of that level 4 storyline that sends you to like a -.2 system and the payout is something stupidly low like 1 mil course that not counting the uber faction boost and loss killing caldari or amarr.

Leave the mission unaccepted in your journal, and do another 16 normal missions. Another storyline agent will then offer a (hopefully) different mission.

Worth noting the faction standing gain from this longwinded mission is probably quite high.

Probably getting that because the game hates grinders?
Its telling you "GET YOUR FACTION STANDING LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE! SLOWLY!"

I decided to do one of those storyline missions that sends you to some lowsec system that rewards an implant for the hell of it. It really wasn't worth it, the implant was worth a whole 600k, the mission reward was less than 1mil and the standings boost was crap. Wish I remembered which one it was, some of them need a bit of looking at to balance out the risk vs. reward. I've gotten level 4 courier missions that involve 2 jumps and reward whatever that highwall implant (I think that's the name) is that sells for 100mil. There's a bit of a discrepancy btwn some of the storyline missions.

I did it for the challenge. My first time in low sec in a cloaked ship, checking info on every ship that appeared in local, learning how to use safespots, and loved it. The actual mission turned out to be too hard as I couldn't break the cruisers tanks in my stealth-fitted Exeq but the experience was invaluable.
Doesn't always have to be about the ISK or the standings.Smile
