I'm mostly flying a dominix while ratting, PvE or PvPing, and what really really bugs me, is that I've got no idea how much damage my drones are doing, because their no way how to see this, except for asking the one I'm shooting how much damage I'm dealing.
The suggestion might be obvious to everyone: Could the damage of drones be shown in the combat log?
And yes, their are drone DPS calculators, but these are not of any use in PvP, where the enemy's resistances are most of the time unknown, and while in a fleet/gang, I'd like to know it when my damage is only 100 dps because of the enemy's resistances or over 300.
So, I'm expecting people to go and flame on me right now, well if you really want to do that. Please do say why you don't think it's a good idea.
After talking more about this in the alliance, I've indeed missed the part that in fleet engagements and large fights, their would be to many calculations, increasing the lagg.
And because of that, I'd turn the suggestion around a bit:
What about updating the drones damage, optimal range etc. when their are deployed by a certain pilot and when info is requested.

There would not be any additional lag, because EVE already truncates messages if there are too many of them. One does not always get to see the damage notification of one's turrets ...
A message now and then saying the Your group of drones is doing xxx.y damage would indeed be helpful.
