In the event of a zombie apocalypse, what will happen to the plants?

Will they thrive without humans? Will zombies attack them?

I know it's outlandish, but do you think some plants could develop ways to defend themselves from zombies? Shooting seeds or something?

Well I've never seen a vegetarian zombie, so I think they are pretty much diamond.

Assuming the zombies can last the aeons for major evolutionary changes, and that they place significant selective pressure on plant species, then it is possible that a "Plants vs Zombies" scenario could evolve. Since canonically (in Romero zombies at least) over time zombies get more intelligent, it is possible that we may even see zombies on the lawn, using road cones to protect their heads, or having a screen door shield. We don't like zombies :(

Plants would welcome their new zombie overlords.
