Doing some exploring I found that each type of planet reliably carries the same 5 extractable materials, some materials are common apearing on many planets, other materials are rare apearing on only a single type of planet.
Heres a Table.

Note how Planktic Colonies, Felsic Magma, Autotrophs are only available on one type of planet, and planet types that are uncommon themselves, resources like these will form the "high ends" of PI extractables.

Each of these extractables has a tier 1 process it feeds, these then will have the same availability as thier coresponding extractables.

Thing are nice and complicated with the advanced industry process or tier 3. there are still a few products that can be made on a single planet, but there are processes as complex as 4 different planet types. Note Data Chips, Planetary Vehicles, and Hazmat detection systems.

The second set of advanced industrial process or tier 4 are some of the most complex, requiring at least two different planets, in some cases up to 5 different planet types. this is also an interesting tier because we begin to see input coming from lower tiers, sometimes a tier 1 or tier 2 mixed in with tier3, this shows things are going to be more complex than just distinct tiers.

Interesting reading i think as u can trade on a planet u can bring stuff from youre own planet and trade it on planet with other players which will have the effect of meaning less hauling, u can try youre luck supplying random planets to

Anyone see a hint about final types of production ?

That production chains which do not end in already known NPC goods have clearly "biological", not "mechanical" names. I.E. suggest use not for ships but for humans.

Population control ?.... and/or implants ?

Final types of production = **** like "Guidance System" (T2 stuff lawl?) and "Mechanical Parts", "Coolant", "Oxygen" or "Robotics" means POS-fuel. Also there's the stuff you mention which could very much mean yes, implants and/or population control.

You do appear to have missed some out though. While I was noticing the somewhat interesting reliance on O and L planets for almost every advanced 4 to 5 planet production requirements, I spotted something in your spreadsheet. I think I've spotted a few missing combinations.

As an example, if you look at supercomputers:

Supercomputers -
(Water-Cooled CPU - G, S, B, I, L-O, L-T, P-O, P-T)
+
(Coolant - G, S, I)
=
P-I, P-S, P-G, L-I, L-S, L-G

This should mean that (G) is possible (maybe not on a single planet tho), (S) is possible, B-G, B-S, B-I too, etc.
I count 21 possible combinations of planets to be able to produce supercomputers, ranging from 1 planet type to 3 types.

I may very well have missed something though, in which case please correct me :)

You would be right if it only required those two inputs, but it also requires Consumer electronics (L,P)
So we can simplify the first two components as comming from G,S, or I. and last as L, or P
we get P-I, P-S, P-G, L-I, L-S, L-G
Yes there are many more possible combinations with more planets, for the spreadsheet i stuck to the simplest combinations on the more comples stuff.

Here's my spreadsheet on PIv2 production:

On page 2 in the row marked as "Intersection" you can see which planets could produce different tier2 materials. I have yet to make the same thing for pages 3 and 4.

As a side note, yesterday I've made my first cybergenetic catalyst, using 3 planets - mech parts and consumer electronics on plasma, coolant and oxides on gas, bacteries and final stages of processing - temperate.

I would have mentioned also Non-CS Crystals. Because it takes a lot of time before i find Lava or Plasma planet.

Looking at that i can only conclude that the control over Shattered planets are gonna spark some wars...

I would say shattered planets are shattered and therefor wouldnt hold anything of value, but thinking about that it might be that it holds even more of value...mmm Slave implants trough planet interaction, i like...

It means that that is the minimum number of types of planets required to build that item. In your example you could do it 2 ways:

o-g :use 1 oceanic and 1 gas planet
or
o-l :use 1 oceanic and 1 lava planet

If you look at the tier 4 production chains some of them require a minimum of 5 different planet types to produce items.

good 35% world r pos no mats but do not lot of power and cpu b good for make stuff
all you need shipport off load make mats make stuff so on worlds lot mats farm on worlds do not mats make stuff out mats off good worlds in tip work for a orea or a ship big cargo

English Version:

Not all worlds are suitable for farming materials. A good 35% of worlds are poor quality (Piece Of Stool) with low material abundance. But does that not mean you have power and CPU to spare for manufacturing? All you need is off-world support for local industry. So on worlds with a high abundance of materials, you'd focus on harvesting raw materials - while on worlds with low abundance you would focus on manufacturing products from imported raw materials.

don't know if it's come from a recent change, but i have checked 2 icy planet and they didn't have noble metal but noble gaz instead
