I'd probably cry, but then again, I'll never fly one.

I dunno. I mean, the simple fact of the matter is, I think they're rather ungainly, and I don't for a second envy the people who pilot them. While some folks might enjoy being, to a degree, 'Godlike,' I have no desire to make a larger target out of myself than necessary... and that's what Titans are... big... floaty... expensive... targets.

The nice thing about battleships is that they're strong, realtively versatile, but, at the same time, expendible. Titans aren't (well, they are, but it's not something you're going to just shrug about after losing one, and if you are, maybe you shouldn't be piloting one in the first place).

So... not my cup o' tea.

If your in high level alliance politics, losing a titan is as bad as losing a t2 fitted bs. Imperian in the past 3 months has lost 2 titans, and been immediately handed a new one.

Titans arent mythical and rare anymore, they are very common, and pretty easy to aquire.

I'd cheer. Only a dead titan is a good titan.

if you can afford a titan, then you can afford a second titan to lose

if the previous statement applies to you feel free to send me a titan to lose of my own ;)

They say that in certain nullsec systems if no one is around and you listen carefully you can still hear Shrikes rage echoing along the etherways. Twisted Evil

Nah, that's not from losing a Titan. He's PRO at that.

The wailing is 'cuz his wife left him and his HVAC biz is in the toilet along with the rest of the economy, thus preventing him from buying as many Titans as he wants.

Oh, he can still buy some, just not as many as he THINKS he needs..............

That would be an excelent plan except for the fact you can't insure super caps

he meant the basic insurance payout, you know the one you get for uninsured ships.

If I lost a Titan because my fleet and I didn't load, I'd be "upset"..."angst"... perhaps a "wail".. not sure about the little drippy tears I'd get when Ol'yeller died. Reason-one that I wouldn't get one... I just couldn't have the "just a game" attitude with something that could go poof do to a glitch, took so many game hours to create and had such a high (albeit unrealizable) real $ value via a reverse computation of GTC/Plex sales .

Dieing in a blaze of glory while other ships went down wouldn't be fun, but it would have served its game purpose. If I had used it successfully 6 times and lost on the 7th...heck, I'd need to be able to grip that else no point in playing.

Dieing because I fail-pushed the wrong buttons...all too likely and the reason I won't ever have a titan even if I had confence that lag issues were in control at the time I used it...I might fund one, then sell it and the charcter that could fly it to a corp mate that had the human skills to fly it.

On a scale of 1 to 10 of things that make me cry...

Where

1 = Ending of Armageddon when Harry Stamford pulls the trigger and we see his life flash before his eyes.

10 = Kirk getting choked up when giving the eulogy for Spock in ST: II. His was the most ... hu (lump in throat) man.

I'd say loosing a titan would go around #3.

If I ever fly a titan, then I'll be prepaired to lose it, like I'd be insanely rich or that my corp would have paid for it. lol.
So no ^^

edit: I think noone would put all his eggs into one basket that's actually a Titan. It's some stuff you think about, when you have everything else you need already, can replace it and **** gets boring and you want something extreme as a veteran. ^^
