I been looking for something like this I had eve market scanner for basic stuff but its not working with new items would this do the same as that thing?

Posted - 2010.12.06 17:33:00 - [92]

A nice feature would be to monitor Corp Orders too...

For example, i only sell/buy things through my corp, so my friends can keep track of the orders when i'm not online :D

I imagine it isn't too hard to do it.

Sorry for any English mistakes!

It is awesome and tells me exactly what i need to know. APART from gross profit.

so far all i can see is profit per transaction across either a week or 28 days.

i would LOVE to see total profit across all transactions for 28 days. so i can simply press a buttan and a figure comes up with my gross profit for the month.

EDIT: also i am seeing alot of 0 order transactions.

earlier in this thread you mentioned something about buy orders.

the thing is, i buy using one character in jita - then use red frog (shamelss advert) to haul it to my main trading character who just sits in my hub all day. so the same character that is selling is not the one that is buying. so is it possible for this program to work out profit fomr that?

or could you recomend another program that could basically get avergage jita price, then that away from what i sold the item for, thus giving me my profit?

Anyone else experiencing very long profit calculations? Even with only few transactions since last update its taking like 15-20 minutes to calculate profits. Even some antique pentium1 should be able to do that in matter of seconds.

EDIT: I mean it fetches transactions from API in few seconds. Only amount of profits is calculated extremely slowly

Been using app since summer. And it feels like its getting slower and slower all the time. First month or two it updated profits fast but now.. Well its really not a big deal to leave it running and come back in 20 minutes but I don't think it should take so long. I'm thinking either some regression bug somewhere or too many small SQL queries. Maybe it even calculates profits again from old items also?

Slowness didn't start after any update nor has any recent updates fixed it.

Anyways thanks for nice app. I still find it useful, even with this small bug on it! Cool

@Cesar Menage
I'm not really familiar with Eve Market Scanner, but I'm interested in what you think of EveNexus.

The corp features are planned for the next version.

I'm also planning a summary for the profits and other tables, so no worries.
Btw, it doesn't matter which character buys the items and which sells them. And don't worry about the profits, it takes a while before they become accurate.

@Robert Farrish
The profits are currently calculated from scratch every hour. I'll fix this as well in the next version.

I like it. I only really miss that table thing from EVE-trader where you can see your most profitable items, but seems like that's on the way.

Thanks for verifying the issue. Looking forward to next update :)

It's one of those small things that doesn't affect you until you have used app long enough. So it's hard to notice such issue while developing.

2 bugs:

The Transactions tab sometimes doesn't update, even though there's new stuff happening in the Journals tab. Might be related to calculating profits.

If you leave it on over night, Nexus won't put in the stuff that's happening on the new day. It seems I need to reboot my PC to make it update again, which is quite strange!

I'm on 32-bit Vista.

I just started using this a couple hours ago. Great looking piece of work here.
I have a question though. I am looking for a wat to see, for example, how much more I have acquired in terms of actual isk as well as value of orders for a given time period. In my case, I have around 600 mil total worth, got popped and lost over 200 mil in modules I was ferrying for resale, and discovered this thread looking for a way to track my recovery.

Is there a function that will give me my net worth for given points in time, so that I can measure my progress?

edit-reread this and its not at all clear. For example, I am looking for a way to say I had 657 million worth of isk in the wallet, isk in buy orders, and isk in sell orders, 24 hours, or 7 days ago, etc. NOW, I have x in wallet, x in buy orders, and x in sell orders, for a net gain/loss of x isk?

two questions

i noticed my profits all disappeared today. does it just take a long time as the database gets bigger to update or is it likely they are wiped out?

what type of database is exported from the export function? Sorry if i missed it in thread.

@Ras Blumin
There seems to be an issue with the tabs wanting to update all at the same time, and not letting each other. I'll have a look at that. It should however keep importing while it's running, even when transitioning to the next day...

It is not yet planned for the next version, but I really want this myself. I'm hoping to add this later...

@Machete Visor
The table which contains all calculated profits is temporary (more or less). It gets recomputed upon every import. So don't worry they might be gone, but they can be recalculated. The data is still there, just no longer in that profits table...

It's exported as a zip file if I recall correctly. And it's an H2 database (embedded, pure Java, SQL database).

Great Application - The past three years I have been using the unfortunate obsolete Eve Trader, and this almost does everything.

@Ren Adal what are the donations levels to influence development of this project?

Posted - 2011.01.01 19:52:00 - [103]

I like the look of the application, but am having trouble loading data. Each time I've loaded Eve Nexus, I get the message that Eve Nexus is having a little trouble, and messages that information 'has been fetched recently' for various journal, wallet transactions for the three characters on the account. I do have other programs that look at the API, but this problem occurs even if I have not run anything else (evemon etc) in hours.

The only tab currently with information in it is the Market Orders tab.

Currently running windows 7/64. I have tried deleting the accounts and inputting them again. Any other ideas?

Donations are always welcome, no matter their size. And I try to implement the most requested features first, but I see no reason why small, useful modifications can not be added.

Please make sure that your API is not used by any other program running in the background. You can double check by going to: This is really not something that EveNexus is doing wrong. The API servers are just not giving out any information because the API timer has not yet expired. You could consider using an API proxy. Most public EVE API programs are compatible with API proxies.

any chance of some updates to this especially the change to forced once an hour checking to 27 minutes ? i think it is now.

also a simple field saying total value of sales and total value of buys would be handy if possible

I just downloaded EVENexus and I must say it's great.
The only things I'd add are as follows:
1- shorten data refresh time to minimum (or add a drop down menu which enables selecting the time)
2- add a info popup thingy on the dots in the dashboard
3- rename the tool from EVENexus to omgwtfmarketpwn (cuz that's how awesome it is)

Sell high,

..Great program, thanks for sharing it with the community.

I have not read the whole thread, so forgive me if you have addressed my comments already.

-Consolidating the report of an item. In addition to showing the date/time/profit of your last ten Hobgoblin II transactions, have another tab that shows your total profits of Hobgoblin II over a determined period of time.

Thanks guys, always nice to get feedback like that :).

I'm still working on EveNexus, but progress is slow because of my limited spare time. As things are looking now, there won't be an update soon, but I'll keep giving it my best. I've recently been restructuring the project so that it would be easier to work with. This includes replacing self written code with 3rd party libraries, which basically reduces maintenance for me. Not only will that make it easier for myself but also for people who wish to contribute to the project.

Thanks again to all my users and contributers. You make this project worthwhile.

it is taking forever to work out a graph with profits.

is it because evemon is also using my full api?

but yeah i am lucky to get one graph for my profits per day - and if i move tabs or do anything to the graph (add sales and tax etc) then the profit line becomes flat.

i am managing over 100 orders and only seems to have happened since i hit 100 orders...

No, this is due to a bug in the profit calculations. Profits are basically recalculated from scratch after every import. This is something which can be greatly improved. This bug will be fixed in the next version.

I know you wanted to add the ability to ignore certain transactions. Maybe integrate it as flagging things personal expenses (pvp/pve ship and fittings ..etc).

Hey, this is just what I've been looking for. Nice and simple.

I do have one suggestion/request. I want to be able to see my total profit of a particular Item, Instead of having each sale split separately.

For example instead of saying:

Name---------Quantity--Profit/Unit--Total Profit
Iron Charges----2500-----15.13------37825.00
Iron Charges-----100-----15.13-------1513.00
Iron Charges-----400-----15.13-------6052.00

I could really use an option where it would say:

Name---------Quantity--Profit/Unit--Total Profit
Iron Charges----3000-----15.13-------45390.00

I hope I'm not failing to notice the obvious, but is this still the current thread for EveNexus? What's the most current version of the program/is it still being developed?

Posted - 2011.08.02 07:58:00 - [115]

To summarize the profits per item I have setup a simple Google Spreadsheet which you could use ->

How to use it:

  1. Copy the spreadsheet to your account (it's under File > Create Copy). This needs to be done just once.

  2. From the profits tab in EveNexus copy all (Ctrl-A) entries to the clipboard. You have to display the default columns (Date, Item, Quantity, Profit per unit, Total profit) before copying.

  3. Go to the spreadsheet and the select the first cell (A1) in the first Sheet (EveNexus Data)

  4. Paste the clipboard content

  5. The third sheet (Profit per Item) now shows the profits grouped by items, sorted by profit. It also shows the total profit.

Note: If you display other columns, you might have to adjust the spreadsheet. This shouldn't be too complicated.

Yes - I wrote to the developer some days ago.
