Nope, not working.

Did the whole process twice (one on an iMac and one on a MacBook Pro) and got the same result; 'Incompatible Version'.

The version is correct based on what has been posted (153183). Everyone is saying that Sing is at a different address, but the Mac client has no visible way of changing the IP address.

First of all;
Hooray, newest version available for Mac ;) : http://www.eveonline.com/patches/patches.asp?s=singularity&test=&system=mac

Second;
To update the server manually (when it shows "Tranq." after SiSi patch), check out: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Mac_Bug_Reporting

Third (bonus Exclamation);
to see the current version running on SiSi, check out; http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/server_status.php

I specially made sure I had SISI working this morning, 10 hours later I login, incompatible build and am being forced to download a 2.6+GB patch Shocked which is insane and not an option in a country where bandwidth is limited and expensive.

There is currently no option to download a tranquility -> sisi patch (link does NOT work) nor build 153183 -> 154186 patch (only some arb number that must have been released sometime during today)Evil or Very Mad

This essentially means no lag test nor any PI testing - very disappointing!

There is a new build available. An incremental update for your current build could not be found. Would you like to download a full installer now? The build is 2627.2 MB in size.

No thanx.

Can we get asap TQ to Sisi patch link which is working.

Really would've liked to participate, but no way downloading a full build in time.

Went for the manual patch - getting empty browser windows instead of downloads with both Firefox and Internet Exploder.

Wget shows this:

I have downloaded the 2.6 gb patch(153725) and when i try to log in it says incompatible version and wont start the next patch, so i downloaded the manual patch for 154186 and it still says incompatible version. Im downloading the full install at the moment so well see what happens.

For those having incompactable version problem: it tries to connect to wrong server. use the special shortcut that is decribed in first post, that way it works.

Fix it by adding "/server:87.237.38.50" to the game shortcut.

If you issue a patch see to it that it work thanks to your mass testing I am cast out of Eve really nice cant you guys do anything right fix the incompatible version that's your job and stop telling us what you will do do it fact is tranquility cant be used due to your f raged work on patching so do your job right or is that to much to ask most of the time you cant even supply a stable server and now you lock down the Live server Mad

now really what do you expect after the downtime's and incompetent support i expected such a thing to happen and aside that they do something they stay silent its just as i said
Eve Online would be a good place if they could finally get there act together but as it looks they cant even apply a patch in a normal way instead it reflects that the support people are just not able to do anything right and eve is becoming more and more to a deadzone or more like going down to pvp arena really for what have they been selected game of the year for bug infested universe seems like they are a incompetent pack as it seems sorry but the facts speak for them self most eve is the only client who goes down every day and for what just to cover up there mistakes that leak through to the Staff of EVE do something right for once you also have a obligation to us the community we pay you so we can at least expect a working universe

well both patches where installed and it still says incompatible version and until CCP finally see that they have goofed up again and do it correctly as they should but as usual
they will find away to blame it on the software but fact is they the support do this on purpose to slow the progress down and cause empty skill queues because that's their main intention fine they make my choice easier

Sounds to me like you didn't make a separate copy of your EVE Client to use with Singularity, and instead patched your "Tranquility client" with Singularity patches.

They really should include a link to the Singularity wiki entry with all mass testing announcements.

The patch for some reason makes you try to connect to Tranquility after getting the SiSi patch, which is why you have the "Incompatible Version".

Editing the Shortcut does work (Well, it for me!)

Same here :D
I see a lot of You have problem with setup Sisi client up and running on request, links not working etc. Simply put pain in the a**.

http://rapidshare.com/files/390951032/evepremiumpatch127381-153183_test.exe.html
It`s 1.6 MB and can be downloaded only 10 times... sorry but don`t have premium account.

So how it worked in my case?

Made a copy of EVE TQ client.
Patch from link saved in folder with copy of the game.
Game patched, incompatible... (patch download some data from ccp server, but don`t remember how much)
Created shortcut on desktop, added /server:87.237.38.50 in "target" field in shortcut properties, so in my case it is now "d:\games\eve sisi\eve.exe" /server:87.237.38.50
Apply.
Run.
Everything works \o/

Patch is outdated but not that much (DL 4 days ago), if You managed to read through my post and it helped You and default server on login screen is Singularity, autoupdate should appear and update client.
Enter user/pass and hope it works!

God speed o/

In all honesty, the bit of effort (and hard drive space) required to set up the test server is yet another reason why CCP should compensate(*) their skilled players (testers) for their time and effort. Donated skilled labor is all well and good when it comes to your local not-for-profit soup kitchen or community web site, but free labor given to a for-profit company, i.e., CCP, is simply facilitating and strengthening their perception that their clients are sheep ripe for abuse (granted, for some that is a fantasy). Do not be sheep and think that a profit-oriented business will not eagerly and swiftly take advantage of an already trained group of people willing to work for no compensation.

Just think of the RL cash that CCP is saving if five-hundred players put in an hour's worth of testing time. Add on another twenty to sixty minutes of time to set up a Singularity client and that is nearly one thousand person hours in total.

Yes, I have read the bits about more rewarding testing in the future, but the proof is in the doing not the "looking into."

(*) - compensation can take many forms. Better information on the testing process and resulting metrics for the technically inclined is one currency that this community appreciates. Another is in-game recognition such a medal, ship or some other nifty and unique item.
