Well, generally sad to hear. The part of EWA I still like most is the fact one has a course idea how much ISK the assests are worth. not only the estimation of the assets worth is a big advantage of EWA, it also sums up the the items.

As for asset evaluation, you should also give jEveAssets a try.

For a single player setup (i. e. for me) do I really need to enter the verification code and keyID for my corp or is that part not required?

If you never switch to "Corporation Data", a personal key should be enough. I haven't thoroughly tested that, but it should work. If not, just let me know.

Well, the very big advantage of EWA is the capability to export directly in to Excel.

Anyway, the problem I am battleing with is the fact that in the options menu in the "Keys" tab no new account is created. I did enter everything that is required but there is no result when hitting "Save".

Kind regards,

Wendelgard

Can someone please explain what data goes where in the account setup for the latest version?

1. The new fields don't match the field names for new API key system
2. I can't see what fields to use to just enter the old API key

Whatever combinations I try, every time I click Save nothing happens.

Note: I've been using Wallet for 8 months and latest version wiped my existing account details. Was that supposed to happen? I assumed it might be the case to accommodate new keys, but having read here old keys accepted maybe error has occurred?

Same here.

I went and deleted the old API keys.

I went and created a new custom API key (full).

But I cannot save the information and frankly some of the fields don't make any sense to me. I checked the manual but the manual hasn't been updated for the current version.

so.

Account Name?

EVE API User Id?

Verification Code (Char)?

Key ID (Char)?

Verification Code (Corp)?

Well, there are two new entries: keyID and vCode.

"Account name" is something you come up with yourself to identify that EWA account (you can create more than one EWA account, letting you switch betwenn different accounts/chars.

User ID ist still your User ID. Hover over your portrait in this forum and note the number after "cid". That's your User ID (which basically is your account ID with CCP). Before you ask - EWA uses the User ID basically as a "corp ID". This way (older) corporation data is still available for that character, even if he changes corps.

As for keyID and vCode - after you have created at least one new API key, you'll be presented with a table of your API keys on the new API key generation page. Just copy the contents of the accordingly labeled columns of that table to EWA.

[Added]
I just had a look. The columns are labeled "ID" for your keyID and "Verification Code" for the vCode.

My bad, I published the database with the wrong columns. To fix this, go to Extras -> Database maintenance -> Direct dabase query. Past each of the following lines as a single line separately in the "Your query" field and hit the "Execute query" button after each line.

alter table banav_tEVEAPIKeys add column vCodeChar varchar(255) NULL;
alter table banav_tEVEAPIKeys add column vCodeCorp varchar(255) NULL;
alter table banav_tEVEAPIKeys add column keyIDChar int;
alter table banav_tEVEAPIKeys add column keyIDCorp int;
alter table banav_tEVEAPIKeys drop column vCode;
alter table banav_tEVEAPIKeys drop column keyID;

To verify success after you've done so, click on "banav_tEVEAPIKeys" in the "Available tables" list. The fields vCodeChar, vCodeCorp, keyIDChar, keyIDCorp should now appear in the "Available fields" list. Columns named vCode and keyID should not be present anymore.

Restart EWA and try storing your API credentials again.

Can't execute the last line, it says something like "keyID" is already used. Deinstalled EWA and reinstalled it, tried again and got the same message.
I tried to save my information nontheless and at least the save button worked.

1. My Custom Key has only 1 ID and 1 veryfication Code for my char, can I paste them in the vCode(Corp) and Corp ID ?
2. tried to import characters but It didn't work
3. I already gave my custom API Key full permission on everything I could.

If you're not using EWA's corp part, you should be able to leave those fields blank.

Is there any error message(s) in the application log?

Full access isn't necessary. I'll update the manual when time permits as to what APIs you really need. Off the top of my head you for sure don't need:

Also having the "can't save" problem to add a key.

It doesn't work if I only put in a character API or both character plus corp. API access is full with everything checked. Characters: all.

I have been using EveWalletAware for at least a year.

Application log:

cEVEAPIKey:Load->3265, ADODB.Fields, Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal.
Error: -2147221283, EVE API Error: 221, Illegal page request! Please verify the access granted by the key you are using!
Error: -2147221283, EVE API Error: 221, Illegal page request! Please verify the access granted by the key you are using!
frmMainHelper:MainWalletInfoFill->13, EVEWalletAware, Type mismatch
cEVEAPIKey:Load->3265, ADODB.Fields, Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal.

Making SQL alter queries did not help. I also got

frmSQLQuery:cmdOK_Click->-2147467259, Microsoft JET Database Engine, Cannot delete a field that is part of an index or is needed by the system.

Erasing my EveWalletAware.mdb file, downloading a blank one from the site, and starting from scratch seems to solve the problem of the API but then I've lost all my historical data.

Is there a way to download v2.0.25?

Guys, could you please check Extras -> Options -> tab "API/Proxy server" and make sure that under "EVE API server base URL" the value is https://api.eveonline.com?

I'm stuck with the program, it crashes on start with this error message:

Run-time error '339'

Component 'MSComCtl.ocx' or one ofits dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid!'
I tryed dowloading this file from the net and overwriting it, but the error is still there.

MY OP: Windows XP Professional SP3

PS
the required stuff you linked on the download page wont install on my pc
