... voices are worse than some japanese to english dubbing.

Which is significant in a multiplayer fps, how? they're fine.

Also it looks very cartoony as well and way to many interrupting cutscenes on the demo level alone.

Spawn menu and the victory screen?

Sound engine needs serious work

Battlefield has the best sound engine currently out.

its obviously not designed for single player.

Not sure how this changes anything, have you not ever played a Battlefield game before?

SP isnt going to be worth my 60$

This is your first Battlefield game isn't it?

third actually and i wont be picking this one up at all.

And yeah sound engine is pertty horrible normally I wouldnt notice it because most games get the engine right but this games engine is way off there is something utterly misplaced about noise generation and breaks game playing experince, Im almost better playing this game on mute.

Bad Company was always promoted to be a single player game as well, which imo they should have left out entirely and spent more time polishing the graphics and fixin the sound engine.

All I am feeling playing this game is EA's attempt to recapture thier lost glory when IW stole thier throne from them. EA is about to do it again with a Mordern Warfare MoH game soon.

If the actual game is any better than the demo, then they need to work on making thier demos better because the demo turned me off entirely to the point I aint going to buy.

Yeah I tried the demo too and it is certainly lacking.. Alas that won't stop the vast majority of tools from buying it anyways just like mw2.

Just finished a good hour-long session and so far from what I can tell it needs a bit more work, but the potential is there for sure. Was very laggy and I was getting pretty crap frames-per-second (I run twin GTX275's in SLI). Hardcore Call of Duty fans need not apply. One thing about this game and all the Battlefield games really is that it takes a lot of bullets flying in a target's direction before they die. With CoD games, you can down another player in like 3 rounds. I do like the game overall though, that's for sure. It has a nice mixed feeling of being futuristic whilst still staying in our time period. All in all, I think EA has a solid game, but there is room for improvement.

The game feels quite a bit sped up to the last one, you kill people faster, sure, but everyone else moves a lot faster, can only get about 3 kills before I have to reload.

Gotten all the unlocks except the vehicle one, and knifing is bloody awkward but better than BC1s.

That said, me LordSwift and two of my mates had an awesome last stand moment defending the stretch between Base 1 and Base 2, enemies kept pouring down and my mate was just reviving us every couple of seconds, it was like the last bit in Tears of the Sun.

Not sure about MP but SP isnt going to be worth my 60$

Also how in the hell you do jamm an airstrike of dumbfire bombs?

Weren't you the guy, singing the praises of Modern warfailure 2?

I'm playing the beta and loving the game so far, although there are a few bugs it still knocks the socks off CoD 6.
Oh and a heads up, the name you create with the beta, you keep when the games released. Wink

Edit: Also try forcing it to DX9, some people have reported huge improvements, with high and low end systems,

Loving the game so far. The lag last night was crazy but I found a few servers where the game runs really smooth. So far I made it to lvl 9, mostly use the sniper with the mortars. So far the beta is already better then MW2... good thing I waited.

Can anyone who is in the beta and who also was a bf2 player describe how it is to play from the perspective of a bf2 fan? Does it feel as grand? What do you feel is lacking compared to bf2? Thanks. Smile

I haven't played a BF game since 2142 (or whatever the futuristic one was). BF2 was my favorite, how will this compare? If they're similar, I might have to give it a shot.

Definitely faster paced, but less emphasis on vehicles, but also increases the importance of each one, destrucive environment also greatly enhances the battlefield feel.

Granted there is only one map and gameplay type right now, but it feels a bit smaller than BF2. My one gripe about the vehicles is that the Apache isnt as nimble as the helis in BF2. REALLY takes a lot to slow down and turn.

Still loving the game and i think i am getting really good since i tend to be quite high up the leaderboard recently. and Getting 7+ killstreaks. Bring on march.
Things that do annoy me:-

People oversniping on the attack team, grrr!!!! rush em people come on
This one was really really bugging me tonight :- people getting into helicopters and they cant fly worth a damn. Of course you dont know until its to late. I have gotten rather good at grabbing the chopper and hovering it at a good range from the final base and blasting it to bits tho

@Irida yeah i remember that last stand, rest of our team was **** but our squad was rocking the matches. Make a great team if you dont mind me saying

played a little bit in beta so far and this is my response:

The atmosphere is great sure. But most if not all the servers I've been on has started to give a good amount of ping once you near the max (I've rarely had a problem with this besides when I get on an out of country server).

Along with that, I find myself sometimes in the game underpowered or just useless no matter what class I am playing. I'd spawn as an assault and not find a single guy to fight. I pick an Engineer and cant find a single vehicle to destroy. I suck at medic and recon so I don't usually comment on that. Other times when I spawn, especially when defending, I find myself having trouble finding a fight, I'm running around explosions and gun fire trying to find people to kill without dieing constantly.

The moment you die is when I get an immersion breaker, the respawn delay feels way longer than what it is. And on top of that I don't really give a damn who killed me, the 5-10 seconds spent looking at the guy who killed me could be spent outfitting different weapons on my class.

Along with that I find myself dieing to silly things such as a random grenade, a helicopter flying overhead. I love it when a medic rezes me only to look another guy in the face before he killed me again and made my respawn timer even longer. I've been killed by the guy whom I'm in the middle of a knife animation on, and I've yet to be able to do the same to a person trying to knife me.

So far it feels like any other FPS where I just get ****ed off after dieing several times for stupid reasons. Listening to idiots go at it over team chat, and watching our team sucking horribly, getting rolled at every possible angle.

Maybe it's just cause I played BF2 on the xbox and PC, maybe it's that. I'll keep giving it a chance, but like I said, I'm not impressed so far.
