Wow, it looks great. You have put a lot of work into this.

The only thing that I'm confused about though, is why there are two charts? One big and one small? But I'm sure it will all make sense later.

I can't wait to start testing this!

1 is for Main Rules
this rules affect the main group you in, only 1 rule can be matched, and the highest up the list is the 1 you get

the other is for additional rules were order doesn't matter, it checks all and gives you all the groups u belong in based on them all

ah, the two charts make sense now.

I'm really excited to see this project move forward. SMF 2 can really use some love.

If you think you could use any help, I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to help do bug hunting, troubleshooting, and some coding if you stick your development code on your Google SVN server. I for one am willing to be there for any help you may need on this project. If there is anything at all, just give me a shout.

The first thing to check is that the package actually installed.

After clicking the install button it brings up the list of changes it is going to make and has all the "Test Passed" messages.
This does not mean the package is installed. There is a "Install Now" button at the bottom of that screen.

Once you have made sure that the package is installed, the "Eve API" option should come up under the Configuration menu in the Admin portal.

Temar seems to have disappeared, are we going to see some sort of progress report? The screenshots of the permission tables made me rather excited, and it is getting hard to wait.

It installs ok, but it seems to have errors on the Settings page and the Rules page rendering it unusable.

Settings Page, generated when you put API info into the ID and Key areas, then push save:
Database Error:
Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'allianceid' at row 1
File: C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\alliance\forum\Sources\TEA.php
Line: 742

Rules Page, generated when you navigate to it:
Database Error:
Unknown column 'andor' in 'field list'
File: C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\alliance\forum\Sources\TEA.php
Line: 953

Getting closer, and it's looking pretty good.
Though here are the latest batch of problems:

On the Settings page, it doesn't pull the characters from the API, so then you can't pull the correct corp or alliance ID automatically.

In the rules page, it seems that checking 'enabled' doesn't do anything. After hitting 'update', it bumps you to the front page of the forum, and upon going back to the rules page, the 'enabled' checkbox is no longer checked.

Then when running a full member check you get the follow error:
Database Error:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'Admin''' at line 1
File: C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\alliance\forum\Sources\TEA.php
Line: 953

And then for the confusing part. This could just be me, but the rules are kicking me in the butt.
What would I need to do if I wanted to split users into four groups?
Example, we are in Alliance A, this alliance has Corp A and Corp B. Now I want to split members into 4 groups.
Group 1: Corp A Members
Group 2: Corp B Members
Group 3: Corp A Directors
Group 4: Corp B Directors
What exactly would I do to accomplish this?

for Main Groups make sure u add the director rule 1st, as it checks in order, so u want it to check if director 1st before the normal corp check
i will be adding ability to reorder soon

for director you should be able to use the Role condition
so u make a rule with 2 conditions, role: director and corp: watever the corp ID is (yes u goto put id for now)
then u make another rule for just the condition of corpID
and do same as above useing the other Corp ID

it doesnt matter if u do both director then normal, or 1 corp then the other
just make sure director is above the same corp ID none director rule

ill look into the bugs now

on a extra Note: i just realise i havnt codes Support for OR conditions yet so will treat all conditions as AND

ok, so now when you run the Full Mumber Check you get this error:
An Error Has Occurred!:
The database value you're trying to insert does not exist: group

Also, for some reason, when a person registers on the forum they get a general message just saying an error has occurred, contact an Administrator if you see this screen again.
It still creates their account, however, if you have the option to force their name as character name, it doesn't actually set. The user will have to go into their profile still and set it themselves.
It also seems to not have saved the registered user's API info, but that could just be me looking in the wrong place.

The rules page is working better now. You can enable the rules you want.
However, you can't set two rules as the same ID to link them for conditions. If you put a rule to the same ID as another one, it just takes you to a white page saying that it must be AND/OR

Wow, thanks for all the fast replies.
Ok, so the rules pages works nicely now. I really like how you set that up!

However, when trying to register a user, I still get the following error (after they enter their desired username/pw and API info and they push the register button):
Database Error:
Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator.

The above error I believe is when it is trying to store the user's API data, because there is no API info stored with the account (and yes, it was put in during the registration process).

Because of the account having now API data, I can't tell if it is pulling the character name or not yet.

And I still get the same error as above when running a full member check.

P.S.: Late edit addon here: It would make more sense not to have the AND/OR option on new rules, and only have that drop down menu come up when you select a previous ID. So then stand alone rules will have nothing in the AND/OR box, and only rules with dual requirements will show one of those options.

Man, you are going to hate me after a while of doing this...
But here is my next progress report.

Even when I don't have the Admin group monitored for Main or Additional, my Admin account still gets stripped when ever I do a Full Member Check. So I have no way to administer my board any more... Thankfully I have a one button script to put the DB and all files back to a clean install.

It would be nice, on the rules page, when you change the type of rule (corp, alliance, skill) that it wouldn't clear out the options you might have already set above it. Either that or have the type of rule at the top of the options list.

The User API's are now being stored correctly, however, the name still isn't being forced to the character name when the option is checked.
Also, along with registration, it might be nice to add in another step to the registration process. So after they click the register button, they are taken to a page where they pick their main character and then hit a Finish Registration button.

If we can get the name thing and the admin being stripped of roles sorted out, then I think this is to the point that I can push it to my Alliance's dev forums for larger scale testing.

Thanks for all the work you have put into this Temar!

Almost there!

The Admin user is now kept after a check is done, and the rules form doesn't clear any more on condition change.

However, registration still doesn't quite work.
When you push the "get" button (which should probably be labeled a little better), you get this error:
[Fri Apr 09 09:23:50 2010] [error] [client xx.x.xx.xxx] script 'C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs/alliance/forum/Sources/TEA.xmlhttp.php' not found or unable to stat, referer: http://www.yourdomain.com/alliance/forum/index.php?action=register

ok, so I just fixed the one call to tea.xmlhtml.php to be the correct tea_xmlhtml.php and it pulls the character correctly when you push the 'get' button.

However, it seems that we are back to not storing the user's api info after registration... not sure why this is.
So because of this, they don't get put into the correct group.

Also, when a user goes into their preferences and selects that they want to use their Eve Avatar, they get this error:
The database value you're trying to insert does not exist: p_avatar

Along with the avatar though, it would be nice for the administrator to have an option to default all people to use their Eve Avatar.

Still nothing in the database.
When a user pushes the registration button, it gets their corp ticker and picture, then seems to dump their api info and puts them into the group for user's with no API.

Yay!
So the changes on the SVN server work great!

I'll continue poking around trying to find any bugs, and I'll be getting some more people to register tonight for stress testing.
Thank you for all that you do!
