nice. Will give this a go later.

Is there any plans to add access if member is apart of "Corp" and a "Director"

Yes i have plans for Access Based on Title
since as far as i know most corp just use titles to give roles

Just tried this out on a test install

I got one error on installing. The error was in the register.template.php file as the comment that starts

// If OpenID is enabled,

was slightly different. A quick edit of your files later and I got it installed and working.

However I now have a problem in getting characters into the right group. I put in the api details of a director character and it picked up the corp and alliance IDs fine.

Now our alliance has two corps. Corp one contains the director character mentioned above. I set up your plugin to assign alliance members to an alliance group and corp 1 characters to a corp 1 group.

Corp 2 contains an alt of mine. I register the alt on the forum and the alt character gets placed in corp 1 group rather than the alliance group as I expected. Is this correct? Have I misunderstood how it should work?

Could it be because I have other characters on the same account in corp 1?

for the error what version of SMF are you running
i Know were was a change from RC1.2 to RC2 which has something to do with that part

as for being put in corp group
does that account that isnt in the corp have another character that is on the same account

From Temar Radeik (wrong character selected)

My test setup is running SMF 2.0 RC1-1. I also tried installing on my live version which i'm sure I upgraded to SMF 2.0 RC2 although it does report it's SMF 2.0 RC1.2 and got the same warning.

I just thought of that myself too and yes that is exactly the situation.

with it being a new mod it doesnt have support for previous versions of SMF2
So Upgrade to Latest would be best
there is alot of changes including the format used in settings page in the latest version of SMF

i installed a fresh smf2, followed by this mod. so my installation hardly proves your mod works with random themes/mods and stuff. installation was straight forward and works.

Minor detail, in that under Admin -> Configuration...EVE API doesn't have a little graphic and just a "no image found" kinda image.

I registered a test user ( captcha seemed bugged, but presumably that is SMF's fault and not yours ), and whilst he was put into the appropriate group he didn't get his name auto set. I guess you've left the decision on which character to set to Display_Name to the account owner. Same for avatar loading, that didn't appear to auto-set...nor can i find an option under the users profile.

Looks good though :) All i want for christmas now is for this to yoink stuff from the killboard to show in people's profile and I'm a happy man.

Once i put this into live use i'll send over some iskies

yer ill add little pics for that at a later date
the image verification can be turned off if u set api required to register
as a valid api is needed to even make an account
as for character selection for real name
make sure the setting is on under settings
and for avatar the register part is on my todo list

I am assuming that this is built on squizz's mod and all things that were working in that mod should work in this one as well?

Specifically I am looking for:

Militia Support
Assigning someone to a group based on skills.

This is awesome, just got it installed for SMF 2.0 RC2, appears to be working great, no install problems at all.

Only question I have, is I put my limited api into the mod inside the admin settings for it to set the standings correctly, and it has correctly pulled my corporation ID into the mod, but it won't pull in the alliance ID, i'm not sure why. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Great to see someone got this modififed for version 2 SMF though, hope simple machines accepts this into the official addons list on their site soon.

this wasn't modified for SMF 2 i made this from scratch my self

the standings api requires your FULL api key

1.0.2 Released
this contains a bug fix for when you register and it picks a character name for real name
and I've added a note to setting page saying full required for standings

I've been working on version 1.1.0
which will have a big change to the ability to customize
you wont be limited to the simple rules built in
u can make rules with any corp / alliance
add skill requirements
blue and red is still available using standing
u can add multiple conditions to a rule
u can set main or addition rule were main is done by list order, and additional is a simple on if rule met
u can make as many rule/conditions as you want
you will be able to also put stuff like user is in alliance 844794 AND is not in corp 68204729
which would add all alliance member to the group as long as they arnt in that corp

Any questions or ideas on these changes just post
donations of isk or real money (see forum were you download) would be very much appreciated, and would be mentioned some were if wanted (i haven't decided were to put it yet)

Is there any ETA on version 1.1.0? This sounds very exciting, and I will love to finally be able to use SMF 2 for my alliance!

Thank you so much for all the work you have put into this script, you have made a lot of people happy.

P.S.: A nice feature would be the option to force character portrait.

P.P.S: Oh, and it would be nice to have an option of the cron job automatically creating a forum group for all corporations in the alliance and then assigning all members of those corporations to the correct group. This just makes it so the admin doesn't have to create and delete corporation groups and make rules all the time on alliance forums.

yes i been working on it, its getting close
the forcing of a portrait is possible, wont be till after 1.1.0 tho
not sure why u need separate group for each corp in an alliance but ill think about it

some Alliances like to offer hosting for all their Corps. So the alliance admin would make sub forums for each corp giving only corp members access. I also tie my smf member and group database to my mumble voice coms. If there were individual corp groups, they could have access to their own corp voice channel.
That being said, it would be great to have rules for ceo's and directors.

ok
as for ceo and director, it should work in 1.1.0 using roles condition
