Ok, as I am sick and tired of not getting a response from CCP either by lodging a petition in-game or sending emails to their support people, I am going to start this thread as I can't seem to find anywhere else to put this... I have two accounts. and when trying to log into my second account I received this notification: User ******* is banned pending investigation Last login: 2009.12.22 12:24 Number of visits: 1930 Reason: Account security compromised - Please contact Customer Support at [email protected] for assistanceWell, as a person who has been playing Eve fanatically since 2004, this came as some surprise. I wrote immediately to CCP support with this problem. I received nothing in return. I wrote again and still received nothing in return. I then lodged an in-game petition on my main account and have received nothing in return. My second account has now been 'banned' since 22nd of December and I find this totally unacceptable. What do they mean by 'account security compromised'? Has anybody else had this same problem? Why will they not contact me in regards to this? It's driving me crazy! |

junk mail gets deleted pretty much straight up. It's been nearly two weeks I've been waiting for a response. as you will see on the message my account gets, the last activity was on the 22nd of December. |

If you read all of my post you would be aware that I have already done that. I still have received no response from CCP. As I have already said, this is now gone on (or not gone on, depending on your point of view) for more than two weeks. |

Send one petition in the correct category. Then wait. Sending more than one petitions will get your support delayed substantially.

oh look, another CCP apologist. For your information, I HAVE only sent in one petition, thanks. It seems to me that you can't get enough of trying to spread your personal opinions around these banned threads. I also didn't know that there were other threads in regards to this problem as I do not usually post in these forums. With people like you who have really nothing constructive to say, I now know why I avoid them. If you've had an account banned you will know how very frustrating and upsetting it can be. If you haven't then why don't you shut the hell up and find another thread to act out your personal wet dreams. |

"banned pending investigation" ... is that something along the lines of 'executed pending trial'?
Seriously, this is ridiculous and I'm seeing it a lot on the forums. If CCP is going to ban a paying account they should at least show some courtesy and explain themselves. To do it to a long time account during the holiday season is just the stool on top.
Get your act together CCP and start practicing a little customer service or you'll find yourselves going out of business sooner than you'd like. |

I know someone who is going through the exact same thing. Account banned for the same reason and no communication regarding reason or status for more than two weeks. Absolutely frigging disgusting, CCP. Inappropriate comments removed.StevieSG |

Oh, for Pete's sake! I'm aware of that, but CCP will not discuss this with me either via the petition in-game or via email to their support team out-of-game. I'm trying to attract their attention you see. Obviously, this is not working for me or any of the other poor noggins who have been affected the same way. Well, Dufus, no-one really expects CCP to discuss anything anywhere. I'm all for people publicising CCP's bs treatment of its customers. With enough people being treated like crap and enough people becoming aware of it, this **** might change, despite CCP fanboi know-it-all attempts to smother it with smartass comments. |

lawl, I agree it doesn't look great, cartoonish graphics and gameplay seems bugged.. 50/60 Euro just to preorder the game on Steam AND would take a long time to get anywhere near where EVE is today, no thanks! They're just getting subscriptions based on the popularity of the Star Trek brand right now. Going back on topic, hope your problem gets resolved. Perhaps all users shouldn't be banned, but have their in-game rights revoked, so they can still have limited access until such time as CCP sorts things out. |

What I read from that CCP Fallout posting is that the ISK sellers are going to extremes to hack your account. And there are certain behaviours, etc, that CCP has detected, and they will pre-emptively lock your account to prevent major major issues.
Given that you are a 2004 account, you are a prime ISK hacker target. If I were you, I would do a serious look at your computer, and make sure it hasn't been keylogged.
And I would guess that they are backed up dealing with this. The time it takes to clear one of these is way longer than the time it takes to hack one.
It is sad. The ISK sellers have changed from a semi honest work ethic to a purely criminal behaviour. And as with most crime, their profit is way less than the cost to their victims. As in, the amount of real $$ they are making is a fraction of the $$ being spent to combat them, and fix their damage. |

Has it occured to you that it's possible that your account was banned because it was the victim of a succesful hack attempt? CCP may well have done you a favour. |

Man I am in the same boat as you. My main account of 4 years is currently in this limbo of "Account Security Compromised" I like you can get no response to wither In-Game petition or emails sent. To top it off apparently they billed me my monthly subscription "which cleared my bank" the day before the Ban.
I got no email from CCP, regarding the ban. Sadly..... if they dont get this cleared up soon ...... all three of my Eve accounts will be closed for the final and last time.
This aint the first time they have done this to me. |

yes but what is a person to do when they simply do not keep the players informed of progress for so long? is he supposed to smile and say nothing as they thrust without lube? edit: cpps lack of staff to deal with their expanding player base is the fault of the company not its users. however admitidly getting your account hacked in the firt place is the users problem, if only there was a way to secure the account like an on screen keyboard to type in passwords or a authenticator. |

With the insane amounts of threads like this, and hacked accounts in general over the last few months, i dont for one second believe they are ALL because the victims bought isk or clicked the nekkid girly links on the forums.
If it takes time, fine, but maybe instead of making music videos about HTFU, you should be DYGDJ and spending 30 seconds to shoot an email off to your customers?
