Now some of you may have survived day 1 of Hulkageddon by either not undocking or simply being lucky enough to not get targeted. I on the other hand managed to survive 2 gank attempts in a 0.6 system due to having a superior fit. I'll include the fit below, for those of you brave enough to mine this week then feel free to give it a try and to those that aren't, thanks for the fat rocks.

3x Modulated Strip Miner II
1x Caldari Navy Magnetic Scattering Amplifier
2x Caldari Navy Invulnerability Field
1x Medium 'Canyon' Shield Extender
1x Micro 'Vigor' I Core Augmentation
1x Expanded Cargohold II
2x Medium Core Defence Field Extender I

Its a tight fit but gives amazing resists and its 100% cap stable (as long as you don't activate the strip miners all the the same time)

I use a similar fit, only i sprung for T2 rigs. Little more defense never hurts.

Yeah I did consider that but I get a bit OCD about destroying working rigs. They are also a bit hard to find, you'll have to send me a mail with your source.

Confirming that we attempted to gank her and failed. We tried many times and just could not break her tank.

well if you can suffer the loss of cargo, for volume mined, drop the med extender and lows and you can squeeze 2 mining upgraes on ( 1 t2 1 aoede) and still have good tank, cap stable at 61%. I do NOT fly it, just playing with the fit.

DCU 2 is a huge boost to tank on any ship. Why didn't you fit one here? JC

just curious (now that you painted a huge target on your back). What's it going to cost you when a larger crew of gankers comes along just to make sure they pop you? It's a hell of a fit, and something I've looking into for 0.0 where I can safely make back those losses rather quickly. But seriously, how much is it going to cost you if you get popped with the faction gear? (yes I know I could just do my research, but I figured I should point it out as well).

1x Medium 'Canyon' Shield Extender
1x Micro 'Vigor' I Core Augmentation

You do realize how ridiculously rare these are...right?

Yes, I'm feeding the troll, but I'm bored...so I'll feed the trolls. ugh

Micro 'Vigor' I Core Augmentation - 6 in Amarr going for 11M..
OK the other one I cant find, but I picked it off a drop ages ago. You could probably substitute for one of the others, I haven't checked.

That sounds like propaganda to make miners fit silly expencive modules on their hulks so that it would be more profitable to gank them. People suicide gank even Golems and CNR's sometimes for those CN invuls so Hulk will not be any problem to bring down if it is that fat.

Lining up some comedy killboard fits?

Edit: instead of an underperforming yet expensive fit put on an expensive ship, you could use a nuggets cost covetor with crappy fit. Underperforming yet cheap and on a disposable free insurance ship. And no /boast or module resale isk for the ship popper.

You'd think people would know the OP well enough by now to know not to take that fit too seriously ;-)

Any Hulk can be taken down.

However, right now if they fail, you dock and they go hunt another target.

As the event continues and everyone is docked or tanked, that is when you change your strategy again.

There's a huge difference between Covetor and Hulk when it comes to getting podded.

(EDIT: So jumpclone to save your Michi if you use a covetor)

Confirming that the OP is not a regular in the Crime and Punishment forum and her advice to fit expensive faction modules should be implicitly trusted. YARRRR!!

I have the feeling you survived Hulkageddon Day 1 because nobody attacked you, not because your fit was super-expensive. YARRRR!!

Here is a more reasonable fit for a hulk. It should withstand small gank squads in highsec long enough to warp out or hope concord can shoot straight and kill them before you pop. It is still a hulk, but a cheaper fit. This post is being done with my alt for obvious reasons.. hulk stats. 14,500 effective hp. boost rate is 138 hp every 3 sec, lowest shield resistance is 68%, lowest armor resistance is 35%, and structure is at 68%, cap runs out at 1 minute, (no highsec gank fight will last 1 minute) with strip miners on. It is cap stable with miners and damage control on.

highslots
3 strip miners I

midslots
1 magnetic shattering amp I
basic heat dissipation amp
medium shield booster II
ionic field accelerator I

lowslots refuge
adaptiver nano plating
pseudoelectron containment field

rigslots
1 cargo optimization I
1 aucilliary current router

drones are 5 warrior II ( maybe you can get a point on one of your attackers before concord wastes them)

this is an actual ship my main flies now and it will get better with more skill training.

creative posts welcome

1133 yield from the lasers and 90k ehp, 91 dps omnitank. FYI that is more yield and tank than all the tanky hulks in here (OP's fit is at 904 yield and 28.5k ehp).
Only problem is that the miners have a 425 m3 cycle and you only have 950 cargospace.Laughing
