In CCP Abraxas' latest Chronicle, we follow a band of mercenaries as they track their prey to a Gurista station.

I agree. Can't imagine the mess that would result in using something shaped like a Raven.

But a 4 part story... \o/

"No repeats of what happened last time."
"That was a fluke," Scaara said.
"No, that was you removing somebody's head,"

it made me smile, this was one of the funniest chronicles I remember reading, lots of (occasionaly not very) subtle humour.

Cool, first the Dust into in the last chronicle, now a Walking in Stations chronicle. Or not? If WiS is anything like this, where player chars can actually do things in Station apart from just chatting in the bars, that would be fabulous!

Cute.

But a bit too american action movie-ish. I waited for more subtlety and professionalism on mercs' part, but... Well... Rough edges and all that.

Exactly my impression. Not the most impressive bunch in the cluster.

Possibly the sort of non-capsuleer that we meet in missions and who advises us that to oppose them is futile, about five seconds before their ship explodes.

I did enjoy the read though. Thought the mark was a tad too smug and I suspect he'll have a bunch of unpleasant suprises all of his own in the sequels.

lol at that line.

Also when reading this I couldn't help but wonder is this related to the previous merc story?

The group sounds almost the same and their names even start with the same letter.

It almost sounded like the previous Merc story, but instead they changed there names or there clones of the other. I think we might see that other merc team come to play, or find that there mercs teams being engineered as this all around the empire.

Nice story!

I have never really bothered to read the chronicles the whole way through before. However I decided to give this one a go.... and I must say your writers are great. Very much liked this =]

Thumbs up to the ccp writers!!

[Now just make it so we can have fights and quests inside actual stations and il be a happy guy!]

Somebody weak at riding flying Vehicle.

Somebody good at public relations.

Somebody good at mechanic.

Somebody (maybe all) good at fighting.

Somebody speaking behind the screen and issuing an order.

This reminds me of "A-team". Laughing

So far so good, I look forward to seeing where this is going.

Oh, and why isn't there a link to this thread at the bottom of the chron?

It has become a tradition to not have a "comments" link in the chronicles right away, as of late.

Good one, very interesting. Sounds a bit familiar with the other merc stories, but that's not too bad really, why change a winning formula ...

Hey, I was wondering what a guy would have to do to write for the website? I enjoy writing fiction and am currently working on a novel. Would be interested in writing scifi stuff!

For one, you can check this site if CCP is actually looking for a writer. Beeing active in the EVE Fiction subforum might be an idea, as well.

Awesome short. I have to agree with the others that this is probably a precurser to Walkin in Stations. an i think when the WIS gets here we will ahve many more market options. for those that want to own bars there will probably be modifications an things u can get for ur bar. an following the outcry for combat in station CCP may have had to go an change a lot of it, hence the long release time that has been incured. Be patient yall, i bet WIS is gonna be totally kick ass when it gets here.
