Just btw, the orders works if I import via file. It bugs when I do it via API.

Thank you!

I would like to see this implemented first:

Thanks for such detailed list. I'm going to discuss some features with you soon.

Feature list is not ready yet, I've spent weekend on Mentat developing and had not time for it :(

An option to retrieve information from EVE central might be handy. It might be nice to have a base line of value of some sort, even an EVE average.

Also the ability to retain any information between activations could be handy as well.

Already planned.

What do you mean under base line term? Is it price?
If price, it is possible to display base price stored in eve database, but this price is bad in most cases.

Currently Mentat stores only transactions between updates.

I am extremely pleased to see this program.

It's absolutely stunning and functional. You have a great eye and mind to put all this together.

As far as features, I wish to see the EVE cache implemented, and the EVE-Central DB integrated.

Thanks,
Demortes

CCP have changed file format slightly on patch. I've fixed Mentat in recent release.

You just need to cleanup your market log folder - %My Documents%\EVE\logs\Marketlogs

A little wish about prices, every program seems to have prices averaged for all of eve or just for one region. Just once it would be nice to have it sorted by the empires. Want to know the mineral average in Amarr space, no problem. Its easy enough to seperate the data coming from eve-central or metrics, I do it on my spreadsheet. My problem with my spreadsheet is I don't know how to program all the wonderful things I want (no, need) it to do.

That little wish would go a long way. So would something that helps plan a corp's business activities, keep track of all members limited api data, figure out cost and sell prices for everyone in corp.

but maybe I wish for too much.

Currently EVE Mentat can display minimal, median and maximal prices over regions. Use "Stack by" button in the market browser.
Note: you should import data from different regions first.
Eve-central data import was planned.

Corporate order support will be available soon. But EVE Mentat will not support group character management (or by corp), just by separated chars.

Great bit of software! However, after upgrading to the latest version, it starts minimized on my Win7-machine, and I can't get it to display the window on my desktop. Reinstalling doesn't help, I can see the screen in the preview plane by hovering my cursor over it, but it won't expand. Any ideas?

The simplest way is to delete configuration file %MyDocuments%\EVE Mentat\EVEMentat.config.
But if you wish to keep you data you should edit this file and delete next content:
Quote:

<mainWindowRect>
...
</mainWindowRect>

Please, make backup of this file before modifications!

UPD: I've just discovered more simple way to fix: Do Shift+RightClick on launched EVE Mentat button on taskbar, then select menu item "Maximize" or "Restore".

Very nice tool!

Just one thing I can't get to work: the Orders. I get the error (via API): "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

An import/export feature using information from excell would be nice (with the same data as the API), as I would love to be able to enter my previous transactions that are not kept by the api anymore.

Gah! You stole my suggestion Laughing

Personally, I think an export option would be very, very helpful. What I really want is a program that can give me only the minimum sell, maximum buy, and maybe an average regional volume that I can plug into my spreadsheet to do a full analysis of the region. BUT the nice thing is that the interface is so good that I might not even need it anymore. I only played around with it for a few minutes so far, but it's looking like this is going to become an indispensable tool for me Very Happy

Yes, you are right about export. I've just added it to the planned feature list.

EVE Online client doesn't export whole market data. You can only export needed parts of market manually.

Restore wasn't an option, but I did cut the window specification from the config. That fixed it. Thanks a lot!

This problem is not OS dependent. Previous versions of Mentat have a bug when closing application in minimized state. In 1.0.10 it was fixed but can be reproduced with settings file which was saved by 1.0.9.

In EVE Online client open Market window. Search items of your interest. Display its market data. Press "Export" button in this window for each item. Then import it into Mentat.

Note: If you wish to see prices, for instance, of Cap Reacharger II from different regions, you should manually export market data in each region. Can be done by alternative characters.

It looks good, but to ensure the security of my system, I'd like to know some things. What license does it have? When installing it states it is protected under copyright law etc..., but there is no license agreement.
Also, are sources available, or is there a thrustworthy third-party available (CCP?) that ensures that it does not tamper with my system or steal login details?
