The current board of ebank are a bunch of incompetent thieves. CCP needs to sieze the assets of all current and past board members, sell all of them, and distribute the cash to account holders.

The sad ongoing saga of ebank is a stain on the game and will continue to be bad pr until it is forcibly closed down by CCP for good.

You see the "transfer ISK To Bank" Button on your wallet? No because there isn't one - CCP never designed "banks" as part of EvE - so therefore they are NOT supported whatsoever by CCP. They are the same as the secondary markets, which are the investors total responsibility to cover if it happens to go **** up! - It's not down to CCP at all.

Scamming is allowed in eve, so I donít see CCP closing EBANK anytime soon. Itís really up to its customers to take any action against EBANK.

EBANK has definitely created a bad reputation for banks and IPOs. The secondary market is almost dead thanks to EBANK.

Ebank has an impact on banks in eve but i don't see them discouraging new ipo offerings in any way. There is even a thread as the why/how of the high amount of new loan/ipo offers on the MD lately.

The only effect it could have is for high unsecured ipo's wich are only based on the name/rep a person has and even then i think people's short memmory will save the day for that person and the offer get's filled within a short time.

Ya, the death of the old "MD Rep" system, which is what EBank etc really hurt, is a good thing anyway.

Better yet, let the CSM take over to give them something to do. If they pull it off with any amount of expertise then their credibility will soar.

Yeah, right........

Diverting the thread slightly... I think that some sort of bank-like entity in game mechanics should be implemented.

It should not pay interest; perhaps even have a slightly negative interest with transaction fees etc.

--- player operated banks and investments are part of the sandbox and shouldnít be circumvented

000 possible incremental increases in game mechanics aiding collateral or collections on defaults would belong to a separate thread as any would be quite complicated and have many issues to parse out.

REASONs for an alternative "bank-like entity" (again with slight penalties)

Ways to create an incremental level of security from key loggers. A combo similar to those on station lockers while not foolproof to certain screen capture loggers, would make their job more difficult and foil some of them.

Giving players an ability to limit losses by key stroke or momentary loss of concentration. Having 3 billion isk (or maybe 30 billion) in your general wallet is really a risk if you accidentally enter an extra few digits on a market order and donít visually catch the mistake. Some of that is part of the game, but from a role play virtual reality perspective itís sort of ridiculous that you could make such a large transaction without some sort of banker intervention.

It should be entirely the playersí responsibility to take such measures up front, but game mechanics give me no way to set aside certain portions of my isk more securely . Some way to separate portions of isk from your wallet would be useful.

Such a system already exists, its called your wallet. No need to create a unnecessary mechanic when additional functionality can be added to existing ones, if they are needed.

LOL I hope not. As soon as we start practicing Obamanomics in EVE financial markets, we are all in trouble.

Oh, and most people already know e-bank is kaput, we just witnessing death trashing, and gurgling, just seems to be going on for too long.

Nothing that a 250mm Light Artillery Cannon II couldn't solve - infact, it might be the only decent thing to do - put them, the investors and the rest of us out of the missery that is ebank Laughing

Really ? If it does thats great and I'd love to know.. sometimes you do learn from this forums.

But I suspect that you didn't read what I thought was missing.

I think that you should have a mechanism where you can set portions of isk aside in a seperate bank account (second wallet ? ) so you can't accidently spend it with a few bad clicks or faulty eyesight if you're tired or being rushed by outside factors . It just doesn't make sense that you could spend 4 billion when you meant to spend 4 million but even leaving that mess up factor in the game, itf a player had a tool they could use to recue that risk by their own isk management that would be great and sensible.

It would be great to be able to set up multiple "Accounts" in your wallet.

most people use isk-holding alts or corp wallet divisions for this (the latter does exactly what you want to have).

I take back what I said about the OP being a communist. CCP DO need to take over Ebank. Am I right in thinking that the majority of Ebank holdings were not stolen by Ricdic but are about to be stolen instead by the current regime? And that said regime is trying to turn the bank into some kind of offensive intelligence agency?

Dude, your ISK is GONE. Get that through your head right now. GONE. It was GONE the moment you clicked OK on the ISK donation box. In return, you got an unenforcable promise that someone would donate ISK to you later. The people that made that promise are GONE too. The people running ebank now didn't take your money, and they didn't make any promises to you.

I don't know how much you lost or what that amount means to you, but your ranting and raving in every ******* thread in MD has gone from "angry" to "needs his meds adjusted" in a disturbingly short time.

If only that was the grand master plan, that would be truly epic.

But I hate to break it to you: It's not the case.
