Yep, Blasters are broken. They are 2 easily busted by tracking disruptors. Because you need to be up close and personal with your target (putting, ECM burst, smartbombs, NOS and Neuts) into range it makes them almost useless when in PvP unless you have a tackler to warp to within 5km of the target. Tracking speed should be the best in the game as its a point blank weapon. DPS doesn't need a boost but I wouldn't mind if the tracking penalty was moved to falloff instead for t2 ammo.

while your at it ccp please fix t2 rail ammo too...... since ye already done the nano nerf, the speed penalty of t2 rail ammo is no longer justified.

Careful what you wish for, CCP may just give you a "fix" for blasters!

just curious, has anyone tried TE /TC's on test? they might not give the tracking up close, but offer a bit more range. ( in falloff )

Aye! I would like to see some changes on the viod - might even consider training for T2 blasters... but that's just me.

My opinion: only mix magnetic field stabilizers with blasters, and tracking enhancers with railguns. Mixing tracking enhancers with blasters really only improves the tracking, but the range bonus is too small to be really useful. For railguns do both boni work and extend the range of a railgun at long- and mid-range combat. Mixing magnetic field stabilizers with railguns only improves the damage, but the increased firing rate increases the cap usage noticeably. It is the blasters that profit from a magnetic field stabilizer's boni the most.

If you need more tracking for blasters then use a webifier, really. You need to use a webifier anyway to get faster into blaster range, to hold your target at blaster range, and thereby do you reduce your need for more tracking, too. Using a tracking disruptor to disrupt your target's tracking in addition will take away any tracking advantage your opponent may have had. In other words, if you cannot get your ship to do what you want it to do then do it with your opponent's ship.

Are you talking about the "new" TE /TC's currently on SiSi?
I was able to get some pretty decent range out of medium blasters in the form of falloff

But yes I agree with you TE / TC's are usually a rail gun thing

No. What do they do? If they trade range for fall-off on the Tracking Enhancers then that would suck for the railguns. A fall-off script for the Tracking Computer would be sweet. Anything like this?

Yes there is a new Script for the TC that adds falloff, and i think the values were changed for the TE's. It was supposed to be a projectile buff, but CCP flubbed it so now everyone gets more falloff.

Kinda sad really, Just makes another "Must Fit" Module

Yes CCP fix blasters.

for exaplme fix could include

* increase DPS.
* decrease falloff.

I dont want to wait 6 months just to find out you dont care about blasters .
Because lets face it , you hate gallente.

I remember the times when it was all "Pvp? Train Gallente!" ... Just wait, the table will go round and round. There is no way a game can be balanced without being boring. So be gratefull for having something to get all emotional about.

Gallente are the slowest race in the game, yet use blasters.....

And you haven't really seen any Cladari ships speeds. *juck* Try a blokh.
