how do covert jump portal generators work? if i had a covert ops ship and i wanna use my covert op jump portal generator, would i need someone on the other side to link to like the was cynos work????

Yeah, it's exactly like a cyno except it doesn't light a "beacon" in system, the duration is much smaller (30 sec?), and it requires a lot less fuel (25 units?)

are you sure? and not mistaking it for covert cynosural field generator? cause i would like to think the jump portal generator as something different and didn't need another person on the other end

Nope, a covert jump portal requires a covert cyno as the "destination" for the portal. So you still need a person at the other end to light said covert cyno.

My mistake. Yeah, the covert jump portal requires a (covert) cyno to lock on to, and operates just like cyno'ing about. It requires fuel by mass of ships jumping through (like a jump bridge).
