I want to get a minmatar BS using artillery for the first area of Worlds Collide - where you're in the middle of two factions, each about 100km+ away.

(I know other ships will do the job a lot better - but never really flown Minmatar BS and used artillery so just fancy a change - SO PLEASE DO NOT SUGGEST OTHER SHIPS OR SETUPS)

So what should I aim to get Tempest, Maelstorm, Fleet Tempest (can't fly a Vargur any time soon!) and any suggestion on setups. I guess as I won't be tanking asny incoming damage in this pocket it can be set up predominantly for Gank.

Plus, I'm intrigued about the new artillery changes in Dominion.

NB - I will be using tech 1 artillery to begin with, but am training up for the tech 2 varieties, so I will change the mods in the suggested ship as i go.

I'd go with something a bit more like this, as you will want to be able to lock stuff up right away and start shooting (aka slap the big guns on). tank shouldn't be a huge issue, as you are 100km away, rats probably wont get much closer then ~50km, guristas might be an issue, but probably will be able to just slap some kin hardeners on and be fine with them (instead of boost amp and invlun)

dunno what to put in the other 2 rig slots.

Use fusion for angels, preferably fleet fusion. (and sabot for serps and caldari, EMP for everything else.)

I find 1200s much better than 1400s (ROF, clip size, tracking.) I just fly to the gate, stop, and pop away.

If you are doing the Angels/Sansha version, just ignore the sansha side, they are by far the slowest for Minnies to kill.

Ling's set up isn't bad, but I'd personally go with a little more gank because only the first few will be at extreme range.
