Which would be a better choice? Also does anyone know a good ship build for the two for running level 2/3 missions with some pvp?

Depends on the skills you have trained. Off hand, Caracal will allow you to fit Assault Missile launchers and use Standard Missiles w/out need to train for another weapon system (Medium rails).

I'd try Caracal first. Also, PvP in a PVE ship is going to be suboptimal.

Caracals are one of the easiest ship to run L2 with, however it doesn't quite have the punch nor tank to run most of L3 reliably.
For Caldari missile boat path, buy a Drake if you're running L3.

Basic passive Caracal (made affordable after the rigs changes), a little overtanked for L2 imo, but should work great as a cookie cutter.

Or, if you have a really wonky training schedule in place, a Cerb. Usually a Drake is much, much more practical though.

Not thrilled with this one. Highs and lows are fine but I'd use the mids and rigs to extend a solid buffer tank rather than a true passive tank.

I think I whipped this one together as an aspirational fit for another similar thread recently. Downgrade to meta 4 as needed until it fits:

For L3 missions, believe me, you will want a Drake. If you focus on the skills that affect it not only will you rip through L3 missions like a howitzer through tinfoil, you will be able to do some lower level L4 missions in reasonable time with it as well.

For L2 missions the Caracal is definitely a solid choice.

Caracal. AML fitted it effortlessly flattens any level 2. Moa is a joke by comparison

Thanks for the advice guys. Just got the mission The Blockade which i heard was the hardest level 2 mission. Took care of it no problem in a Caracal.

Caracal is better for PvE - just plain outright.
For PvP in moderate-large gangs, Caracals remain solid.
In small gangs, the Moa is the better ship for PvP.
